1977 Lagoon Blue S1

Just want to introduce my 1977 lagoon blue (L12), VIN 348H, built date June 1977. The S1 was sold by Ferrari Lotus of Los Gatos in CA. All three previous owners lived in the bay area. The third owner got the car in early 80s and moved from San Jose, CA to Vancouver, Washington in 2003. I purchased the S1 from him in Dec 2011, only a few weeks ago. The car came with owner's handbook, shop manual, spare tire and tools. A very original car with the factory paint except the door mirrors. The car has traveled 43,887 miles and engine was rebuilt about 1,200 miles ago in 2003. It is a nice one and I like it very much. Thank GavinS1 for telling me about S1 group on this forum. Tom

Second that. There's a gent on here who took the only original Viper Green S1 and resprayed it white. Please don't do that. Besides, Lagoon Blue is stunning.

I have cleaned and polished the car this week and drove it to meet with a friend who has a white S2 this morning. We compared the cars and tried to see all the differences between the two models. Tom

That car should be white. ... I'm kidding. Actually, I just bought my first Lotus, a white S1. Introduction coming soon, as soon as it arrives.

Tom, I'm in Denver too; maybe you, me and the guy with the white lotus can all meet up one day. Mine has a long way to go (i still need to purchase/ship it, haha), but it will be done eventually..
