Hi all, believe it or not its nearly a year since we did the Aberdovey fish and chip run,

A few have mentioned it and the interest seems to be there to do it again..

I thought a bit earlier this year, say the end of sept. 30th or first Sunday in Oct. (7th)

I will be away for holiday from Friday so add yourself to the list with a date preference and

we will pick the best date to suit the masses....

I will sort stops half way for coffee etc. as before, but different..

I am awaiting seats from trimmer and working through my pre-mot list. Leather from Andrew Muirhead is delayed - arrggh!

30th and 7th seem quite close now.

OK..

I have decided on the 30th....A couple of reasons... The main one is a new member 0121neil64...

He has only recently purchased and had a couple of issues that i am sorting out for him... his Esprit

will be ready for the 30th but he is having a knee opp the following week and will be laid up for several

weeks after. It would be nice for him to experience the fun of the Esprit before the opp... Hopefully spurring

him on to a quick recovery to get back in it....

Simon (slewthy) I think a little pressure needs applying to the trimmer..... hope you can make it...

I will post more details closer to the date..

A few more would be nice, so mention it to others , they may not have read this thread.

Cant wait to meet you all and drive my Esprit that Dave is sorting for me, i hope i havent put any one out by the date being the 30th but as Dave has said im having a new knee on the Tuesday so i wont be able to get n the car let alone drive it for a while.

Looking at the cars that are attending i hope i can keep up in my n/a lol

Hi all .

It looks like there may be 6 or 7 of us , only one to confirm..

We will meet at the usual spot , Cosford Nafi,just of J3 M54 between 9:00 and 9:30 .this sunday 30th I have arranged coffee stops

in both directions.

The weather forecast for Sunday is surprisingly good, so that will make a nice change.

There is a possibility with all the rain that areas of the Dovey valley will be in flood, This should make

the scenery more interesting ...

welcome on board... ....WV7 3NA is the garage opposite where we are... head for there...

I don't know where you are heading in from ...but the best way to find us at J 3 of M54

head for Cosford ( R.A.F) circa only 1000 yrds from J3 at traffic lights turn right... we will be

in the NAFI car park 250 yrd on the right..

very easy to find.... Any problems just call me on mobile....07889 647406....

We aim to get there for 9 ish and leave around 9;30 if you are running late bell me and we will wait..

Overcast...bit of sun.....overcast....mist .....rain....mist....more rain....oh so much rain...

one of the squadron had wiper issue but a couple of quick fixes by the ground crew put that right...

On the flight back one of the group (Chris) fell away, so I hung back for him... It turns out he had

pulled the bolts out his N/S trailing arm bushes.. this made it difficult to fly straight and level...

I escorted him back to my place in wolves and carried out a quick fix so he could get back to Hinkley

safe.....

On the up side all 6 Esprits performed great considering the conditions, Good food , great company.

All in all good day out...

Thanks to all that came along hope you enjoyed yourselves in spite of the weather....

Yes it was a good day...smooth driving despite the weather, but sometimes its nice to have a relaxing drive..good company too made good chatting over lunch..

good day yesterday great to meet u all, it was nice to put a few miles on mine for a change i wish my leg was as reliable as the car !!

big thank you to Dave for sorting my n/a it ran like shit until he got his hands on it and now runs a treat i could almost keep up with the Turbos (well i suppose it was raining)

thanks again all will definately be on the next run out, Tony got straight back to mine and got his Esprit running and up to temp will be in for mot this week.... watch this space!!!
