Had a quick look at the Imageshack and cant really see how that site is supposed to work? I use Photobucket.com

On the right there are 4 links to share the image. I always use the 3rd one down from the top.

Any probs PM me.

Well, did my first trackday in the new toy yesterday...  Perfect weather for it, sunny, not too hot (12-15C), and most importantly, dry.  Sandown Raceway (in Melbourne)...  The Exige ran like a champ... 10 minute sessions, no sign of brake fade, tires going off, or any other issues...  It certainly knows how to drink petrol - final tanks consumption was 103.2km, 40.89L.  Worth it though.

Took it easy to start the day, left the car in tour and just got a feel for it (only 450kms on it when I showed up), switched to sport mode after lunch as I found the traction control pretty intrusive in tour after a while and enjoyed the extra revs, noise and slip angle which it allowed.

It's got Race mode, but given it's my first RWD, Mid Engine car, I thought i'd ease into it...  Best for the day (which was one of the three laps in the vid below) was a 1:25:5522.  Car is stock and on the pirelli street tyres (not the semis).  There's definitely another few seconds in it, need to work on corner entry speeds and lines through some of the corners, as well as getting more confident in the brakes and lateral grip.

It's an amazing car, and definitely at it's best on a race track...  I was grinning from ear to ear the whole time, the car is just so confidence inspiring.  Lotus, you've done a great job with this!

Excellent Video, I definitely heard the tyres squealing on a few occasions so you certainly weren't hanging about :)

I'm hoping to do my first track day soon once my V6 arrives, I can see this becoming an addiction.

That really is a stunning colour.

It is funny how certain colours suit the Exige better, I would never have considered that colour but it just looks absolutely amazing :)

That is good news, have to admit that I'm really keen to fit a Larini back box, but I may do a couple of track days first as I have never done any before and see if I get the bug then I may just leave well alone so not to cause any problems.

Went to Spa with the V6 yesterday. I felt, on smalller tracks it was really as fast as my previous 997GT3RS. None of my friends believed it was as fast as it at Spa, but yesterday I could prove they were wrong. It asks a lot more involvement to reach the laptimes you want, but it goes damn fast for a road car. Suspension adjustment is necessary to reach this kind of laptimes however, most important: laptimes were stable it was not a one shot.....

Without passenger a 2.47 is surely possible for track lover. No idea what a pro can do....

Wow, quick times. I think I did a 3:05 according to my gopro with two up and all our travel gear in the boot and a toaster :-)

Trevor.

That Toaster is worth at least 5 secs a lap so you could of broken into the high 2's.... :)

Burnt Orange

482376_10151592347595586_1744550625_n.jp

Bibs,

Is this Burnt Orange? The car looks stunning in that picture.

Any chance of some more pictures please, as I can only see Cup and Roadster and Evora pictures on the internet. The Roadster pictures at Jct600 Leeds look much lighter than the Cup pictures. Are they the same paint code? Also, is it the same colour for the Evora?

Thanks,

Steve.

Hey guys.

Just forced my daughter to put some km on the odometer ;) , put the #79 to my dealer for the first service and than went to track.

Here's my first video with the LF1 in action.

I really got heavy understeer, the engine is not at the final power (surely) but the performance was pretty well.

Is there a thread with data for track setup? I guess the stock setup is not on a high performance level. It feels really on the safe side.

Here we go

What a fantastic !!! and difficult track. Love it......

Honestly: don't see much understeer in  your vid, but you are right the car has really a lot of understreer coming straight from the factory.

Not much to do at it, you can work with a little different set up but this would only help very little.

In fact if you intend to do a lot of track you have to change suspension. Pls think twice as the factory suspension is just fantastic on the road and you will loose this comfort. You have to make the right choice there.

With the Nitron or Ohlins (double price of Nitron) you will have to search and play a lot to get this understeer out of the car.

Furthermore we have to accept there will be always some understeer on the car end learn to adapt your driving to it too......

Believe me, with this suspension you won't be able to cut it, even with another set up (tried that).
