Spring Ball at the RAAF Amberley Officers' Mess last night...

Magnificent food, great band, lovely people at our table....all-you-can-drink (top shelf too).

Oh gee, not too well this morning. :2guns: My voice is gone, head is swimming, and I saw my white jacket heading off to the dry cleaners - was that curry?

Ok you cats - it's Christmas afterall! :band:

It's 11:38 and I have demolished 90% of the boss's Haige 12 YO - nice job. He is on transfer to Canberrra - I'm staying.

Plate of apple / red-thing and cream (sweeeeet) and the trouble and strife has gone to bed. :)

That Haig smelled so good - sorta peaty on the nose but you couldn't taste it, magnificant.

Phone call from Carolyn today: "All I need you do is put the prepared ham in the oven, and pour some Guinness stout I got over it".

I look at the ham and the black imported bottle of stout... hmmm

"That was a nice ham tonight? - you can really taste the Guinness..." she said later

"Oh yeah," I said "hit the spot nicely" tee hee hee (burp).

Ebyegum! Thanks Bibs for calling me at 3, otherwise I might never have surfaced today!!

My head is a little worse for wear and I have a bruise on my stomach the size of a football. The mrs reckons it coulda happened when I knocked over my last bottle of plonk and in the mad frenzy not to lose any I bounced of the corner of the drinks cabinet, fell backwards over the sofa and landed with a yip on the dog!

Doesn't sound like me now does it?
