Workshop Manual

[PAUL GURNEY]

Hi All

 

I have had a look at the parts manual online (very helpful ), but i could really do with a copy of the workshop manual either online or in my hand to make sure me engine goes back together as Lotus intended 

Any help and comments would be appreciated

I have all the manuals for my SE, they are their worth their weight in gold. The Workshopmanual is not cheap, SJ list it in their webshop, I'm fairly sure it can be bought from other Lotus parts suppliers.

Like you said in another post taking it apart is the easy thing putting it right back together without a manual is an other thing.

I think the S4 and up have a digital manual which is available on eBay among other places. The legality of it is dubious though. Check with Lotus - maybe there's a legit version.

 

I agree with Freek above - the SE manuals are priceless. They make great bedtime reading too.

Give South West Lotus Centre a call - 01566 784152 - they will source and post whatever is available for you.

IIRC, my S3 was in the region of £90. I would easily have paid double though. Worth its weight.

Coupled with the parts diagrams, what can't you do? (diagnosing a distributor problem excepting)

There are separate manuals for the electrical systems, the ABS and electronic fuel injection systems.
