Bugger, health scare this morning.

Had a bit of a scare this morning. Got up, took my dogs on an hours walk, came home, then while my wife was preparing breakfast I had a TIA (mini-stroke). I couldn't speak, very alarming the noises of the words were in my head but in the wrong order and all my wife could hear was mumbling. I recovered within five minutes but obviously went to hospital. I'm home but have to see the stroke specialists and can't drive for a month!

My wife has offered to bring me down to MBW on Sunday but although I feel fine now I may not feel like it on a Sunday. I've posted on the thread and Concorde thread as I'd hate to cancel late and my place be wasted.

Have a great day everyone!

Sounds very familiar Martin. All very weird when it's happening isn't it. Your head knows exactly what you you want to say, and your ears are hearing the gobbledegook that you actually say - both of which are very different. I hope your results come back as good as mine. Keep ya chin up.

Regards Ian

Spent five hours in hospital today. Many scans, blood tests etc later and they say I didn't have a TIA but it was a "complex migraine". No further tests, treatment or restrictions required.

Obviously very happy.

Glad to hear that its not a serious as it looked Martin.

Its a scary feeling when you think you are making perfect sense in your head but to the outside world its just nonsense.

I have epilepsy which is controlled but in the lead up to a seizure I used to get exactly that and its well scary.

Hopefully they will sort you out very soon.

Are they still going to stop you driving for a month?
