#81 definitely not for sale! However it was the first of the production run to be completed after the promo builds. The were not built in order. You just got the number you wanted in first come first served.

Collected #27 for the second time today from Silverstone having just had its first "running-in" service. Also had the paint blistering issue resolved for which Lotus resprayed the whole front clam. Must admit that it felt better collecting it this time than the first??

Now to get some miles on!

Just noticed that you live in Herts, if you don't mind me asking, whereabouts? Hertford is my hometown where my folks still live so always over that way, be good to hook up sometime?

Pleased to hear that the paint issue has been resolved, yes got my letter yesterday regarding the tours, I wasn't going to do Hethel again as was only there a month or so ago but when I saw the Classic tour included I must say that I'm quite tempted by that one.

Just picked the car up this morning. dealer told me Lotus no longer putting trofeo  on the LF1, mine came with the Corsa. so dealer getting on to lotus on Monday. Trofeo are Std on race pack to should have been fitted.

I looked at an LF1 at Silverstone on Thursday, that was also on Corsa's. there was talk on another thread that Trofeo's are no longer EU compliant, so I wonder if that's the reason?

Yes, that's what I was told, but should be able to get the Trofeo's sorted for me.

One more question for you LF1 owners if I may. Have you got the engine cover fitted to yours, as details below item '5'. It seems as though they are not being fitted anymore, but were on the release LF1.

Evora's aren't being fitted with engine covers any more either. Decision by JMG.

What's his reasoning or just more cost cutting? Exige looks OK without but Evora doesn't IMO and not like they have done anything to the ascetics of the Evora engine bay to make up for it! Believe some dealers are retro fitting at a cost of around £100

On the LF1 all the other covers are fitted, just Item 5 as detailed earlier is missing

Mine is also missing !

All the other LF1's that I have seen have also had it missing as it seems have any other recent cars..

Which supports what i have been told that they are no longer being fitted.

Personally I'd like one fitted to mine if possible..........

Such a mistake. Human nature sees symmetry as a significant factor in beauty. If you look at any supercar with visible engine compartment then you will immediately recognize this. 

Unfortunately the transverse mount  makes symmetry impossible, the engine is offset to the right, the gearbox left. Which is why the Exige/Evora engine bay lacks beauty and looks best when covered.

Good to meet you yesterday Steve.  What is Steve doing about your Trofeo tyres?  He said mine would be ordered up, but I forgot to ask him yesterday.

On the engine cover, to be honest I hadn't noticed it missing until it was pointed out on here, but now I feel like I'm missing out and want one

Trofeo are Std on race pack to should have been fitted.

Is this true?  I was told that the race pack didn't include trofeo tyres which makes it quite expensive for what it is.
