Would love to meet other Lotus owners from all over the world!  Some do come to LOG from all over.

Last time it was in Colorado in Aspen in 2007, I think we had the largest turnout ever?

LOG is generally an east coast event, with all of the national club invited, as well as international guests...

LOG 27, in Aspen CO, was the furthest west it had been at that point, and I believe we had a record attendance of around 450+. IIRC.

I know Clive Chapman and Bob Dance will be attending again. Last time we had Emerson Fittipaldi and Classic Team Lotus shipped over his old 72b F1 car, and Emerson drove it on track!

You should make this event Bibs! Bring some of the others with you!

I do know there were a lot of cars still back at the hotels, that didn't make it for this picture, because they thought it was  judged "show" and din't think their cars were "judge worthy" but it isn't like that at all, and all the cars are welcome to all events. Though cars do have to pass tech for the track day!

Bibs,

you should get Lotus to send you over as press.  And maybe get Lotus USA to set you up in a loaner Evora to cover the event.

I'd offer you the same deal you gave me on my trip.  Stay over here extra days, and I'll show you around Colorado.

Hey Travis, I look forward to seeing you again.  And your car.  I plan on driving my M100 out there this year.  After 9 LOGs in the Esprit, I decided it's time for a change.  Hotel is booked.  I'm sure August in CO will be nice, but I have to get across Texas first.  I'll need air conditioning!

I saw in the news that C. Springs had some flooding and mudslide last week.  Was it anywhere near the LOG hotel/events?  I don't have mud tires on the car at the moment!

I start my trip on Wed and see you all on Friday!

Hi Russ,

I saw it on the news as well.  I don't think it will cause any issues with LOG.  Otherwise I think I would have heard something from our planners here.

BTW, the main hotel is totally booked, last I heard, and there is a wait list, and some people have needed to cancel.  But there is nearby overflow hotel.

ALSO!  The car show portion is for all LOTUS cars, and even that DeLorean with the Lotus 918 twin turbo V8 engine...  it is NOT just for the perfect show cars!  All should bring their cars to that.  The same goes for the photo shoot at Garden of the Gods.  All cars should come to that!  There is a "judged" part of the car show, but you had to enter that with an appropriate car, otherwise the rest of the Concours is non-judged, worry free, and welcome to all...  Maybe even that Isuzu Impulse with (handling by Lotus) badge.

See you there Russ!

That DeLorean was crazy!  Too much engine though, because after 88 mph... well, we all know what happens.  :nuke:

I had a friend with one of those Impulses in 1990.  I don't think he drove it hard enough to discover the Lotus handling.  Not whenever I was in the car anyway.
