A new Lotus specialist in Essex - Rapid Mechanical Services

Hi everyone,

 

We thought it was about time we officially introduced ourselves to the TLF community. I used to be a senior Lotus trained technician at Nelmes in Romford & also at a local independent Lotus specialist.

 

I have a vast experience working on all Lotus models ranging from the early Esprit's & Elan's to the more modern variants as well as Elise's, Exiges  & up to the current range of Evora's & V6's.

 

Some of you may remember me, as Spanner, from the LOT track day support I used to offer.

 

In August last year I saw a gap in the market appear for servicing & repair of Lotus car with exceptional customer service in the South Essex, London & Kent area & decided to start my own business based in Romford.

 

After extensive refurbishment of both the workshop & customer reception areas we opened in October last year with a fully equipped workshop. We have also invested in the latest Hunter 'Hawkeye' four wheel laser alignment system to enable us to set up cars for both road & track use, including full race spec set ups.

 

I have also been joined by Andy Booth, who some of you may know from his extensive Lotus experience working as an Aftersales & Service Manager of both a Lotus dealer as well as a local independent Lotus specialist.

 

To keep up with customer demand we have now employed another technician with vast Lotus experience, Steve Law, who some of you may recall fro the early Elise Trophy days. He has also built a 24 hour endurance Elise race car which finished 5th in class in it's first outing when raced abroad, as well as a multi championship winning Exige.

 

We are also able to offer MOT's as Steve is a fully qualified tester.

 

We are able to carry out everything from servicing to full suspension upgrades, engine & gearbox rebuilds, fibreglass bodywork repairs & recently we have been made an official HID installer for the area.

 

We've been up & running for several months now & would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us & long may it continue.
