Raced bikes, gave up 10 years ago.

Now I do as many car and bike track days as I can fit in.

Tend to spend most of my track time in Spain......it's just so much better than here.

Great pix - what model of Kwak - that top image is stunning!

Don't get any time for track stuff these days (and have too many other things to spend my money on) - but I rate Cadwell as being one of the best for bikes - it's just the weather thats a bit of a lottery!

I love Cadwell too, but it hates me. Been off twice in my last three outtings. Raced at Snetterton 3 seasons and never fell off once!

Yebbut - that's almost in your back garden - so you should know Snett like tha back of your hand!! :)

I like cadwell 'cos it's 'interesting'

But then, I've never fallen off there and I'm no racer!! :)

Grew up with the noise of racing at Snetterton ringing in my ears - my Grandfather was vicar at nearby Quidenham - that and the proximity to Hethel has cost me a *lot* of money over the years!! :(

Aah, another "Show Us Your...." topic, I really like these :D

Warning! This might get rather long topic from Jussi :D All my friends always complain I have too many hobbies, and like I have been saying to you: What I do, it always gets a bit too much...I'm just perfectionist about everything

So I'll start with history....

When I was a kid I had 12aquariums in my room, I bred fishes and sold them to pet-shop. Then I get guinea-pigs,birds,gerbils,rabbits...and these (almost everyone) in my room with 9aquariums (had to put 3 to our living room). I worked in local pet-shop on weekends, my dream was to start my own business in some day. Then I got allergic tests, with positive rersults (minor for dogs but biggest was to all dust). That crashed my dreams...it's hard to own a pet-store with only fishes in it. Still I have one aquarium in our living room, that's place for our Kois on winter.

koi.jpg

I digged a pond in our yard, which is over 1meter deep, it's so deep that in first winter small fishes survived there. It didn't freeze to bottom.

lampi.jpg

suihku.jpg

Some people in Finland leave their Kois in pond for winter. They heat it during coldest season. I haven't done that cause there's always risk that those fishes might die.

Computers have been my hobby for some years, that's mainly because of my work. And it's easy during winter, don't have to go out.

computers.jpg

Hifi and Home-Theater is my biggest hobby during winter. It's always nice to listen a good music or watch a film. This hobby is perfect for perfectionists.... :o My brother is a HighEnd-enthusiastic and from him I got this Hifi-enthusiasm. Our family is very musical (brother plays drums, sister sing and father have been played trumped) my father had a band and my brother had many bands....I just listen to music :D It's better that way...

Here's photo from our home-theater, screen-size is 132" (16:9) so that 32" (16:9) TV looks kind of small :D

theater.jpg

If you look carefully you can see the equipment cabinet on the left side, that's taller than me :D

Photographing is my newest "hobbies". My grandfather was a photographer, so it might be him where I get my enthusiasm....Too bad I was very young when he passed away :P

Winter photo:

On summertime I'm hanging on our local race-track cafeteria almost every day...just drinking coffee :D

Jussi2 lives just near the track, so it's our meeting area on summer days...

And as you know, I go to car shows and races almost every weekend on summer ;)

Heh.. I warned you...too long to put in one post...does this mean I have to give up some of my hobbies...

Uups. almost forgot our cats...well that's mainly Heli's hobby but I'm stuck with them :D

Here's some fighting...

fight.jpg

Emmi is a mean lady :D

emmi2.jpg

And Kasperi is such a loser :o

kasperi.jpg

Our cats are MainCoons and they have more trophies than my Esprit :D

Yes I'm a bit allergic but we had a dog (I had dogs for all my life). I can live with them if I don't sleep

in the same room with them. Our Netta passed away last year...

netta.jpg

And new hobby...You all know I'm a bit coffee freak...I bought Espresso-maker to Heli for Christmas...And

now I'm making different coffees for her almost every evening :D

Now you may know why I'm some long periods away from this forum...I have too many hobbies and beside those I have to work :D

Of course cars are important to me, that's why I go to Race-cafe/shows and races B) And we have always something going on about cars with Jussi2...he fix cars and I'm trying to learn from him.

Sorry about the dusty Esprit...

:D I live at Wymondham and can hear them sometimes! Though they have just finished banking around the whole circuit to keep the noise down

Used to be a member of SMRC (Snet Motor Racing Club) and we had 8 glorious days a year when we could turn up in or on absolutely anything and race round the track. Obviously we used to be timed. That got me hooked and got me started on the slippery road to broken bones and a huge grin on my face.

Ah - Kimbers - small World!

Had friends in Wymondham - we lived in Spooner Row (went to the Village School).

Wymondham is a really nice town....

Went to school in Attleborough too - mum recons she knew the Finance Director @ Lotus at the time (early mid 70's?? - Fred Bushel perchance?)

My Grandparents are both buried at Quidenham - I'm sure they find the sound of racing engines a comfort!

My spare time is usially spent playing a bit of golf badly.

Had day off today. These pics taken lunchtime. Even If I play poorly, still pretty good views to take in.

I do like a bit of virtual racing in my spare time.

This is my mate chasing me around Bathurst in a Lambo(don't have an Esprit on GTR2) :)

I also enjoy making a god almighty racket on those music tools in the background.

Anybody fancy a jam!

I'm with Jussi on the Hi Fi and cinema thing as well, although not spent much money on it lately.

And this is why!

This is where I spend most of my time now :)

When I'm not working on my cars, I contract with a rotary engine specialist from Florida called Pettit Racing. I have installed 20 engines for them in 3rd gen RX7's-model year 1993-1995 US. Here's engine number 21 coming out a few weeks ago!
