Car is on way by ship to the new home, so during this time i m trying to find some history of this car. Its 8th car of 2004 Final Edition Run.

What i know:
- is full US spec
- bought in Dubai
- to Dubai came from Syria
- 800 miles on the clock

Esprit community is huge, mby somebody help dig some info :)

By google i ve found many pics with final yellow esprit and there is same looking car. Most of them r form US. Could be this one?

Hello Sky

This is another Final Edition that one of the forum members on here sold on to Germany last year, if it helps:

Notice the "e" crest on the fuel filler flap. Not sure if that was common to all of them.

More here on the final production run with a lot more detail: http://www.lotusespritworld.com/EModels/V8US.html

I tempted fate...now my Esprit V8 IS in bits...(sob)

I have been musing over that "e" logo and I have just realised what it is:

"Lotus Cars were awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise for contribution to International Trade, one of 85 companies receiving the recognition in that category in 2002. Lotus cars wore the badge of the award for a number of years"

Something I didn't know before!

I may have a copy for mine at home, I'll check tonight.

But this may not be useful because the CoC is for each individual car and gives the VIN. Is this the Esprit from Topline Motors in Dubai? If yes I looked at it too but as it was a federal US model I thought there would be issues with importing into Europe.

Lotus issued mine very quick when I asked, I think it was Brian Hope who is responsable?

It is Brian Hope you need to contact. He is the principal homologation engineer at Lotus.

I am sure the issue is the legal question of issuing a European Certificate of Conformity for your Federal spec car.
