to be honest i think the s1 will age better than the angular s2, im biased i know... so assuming these bits are plug and play.... that would be awesome... i cant see it being to massively expensive if it  were not carbon f.

Curvy cars tend to age better as a rule so I agree. I think cf rear deck, front access panels and wing mirror caps would be lovely.

Here you go...  Looks fine to me and reuses your original spoiler brake light! Gloss black, same as the sail plane. I can live without the carbon but you can get it in carbon too. This one even uses the original struts and is finished to oem standard as can be seen here,

The prices, last November, were US$1300 for fibreglass and US$2800 for carbon fibre. Unless you live in Malaysia, there will obviously be shipping & taxes on top of that.

Carbon tail gate saves approx 12kg, roof 2kg, front access panel, mesh grill and splitter another 2kg so roughly 16kg all in. Obviously biggest weight saving comes from the tail gate but part of this is due to the simple stick that replaces the hydraulic stays so if you only had to have one carbon piece that's probably the one. Still surprised the carbon roof doesn't save more but it's worth it for looks alone.

I have exchanged many, many emails with Yvo on the subject since October. So, yes, let's hope they do arrive next week. But, TBH, I'm not holding my breath.

Chaps, we've been waiting for these 410 tailgates for a long time. They were ordered months ago, but it took quite some time to get them. This was down to a couple of issues, which took care of a delivery schedule which is about four months behind now.

 

The good news is, there's two containers on their way to us. One is offloaded and as far as I can see it has received customs clearance this afternoon, so it might be in our warehouse tomorrow, the other one will be here in about two weeks.

That will give us at least some stock to work from. More is in the making, but as we've lost four months, we have to catch up.

 

410 Ductails will be avalable in GRP and Carbon

 

The reason for the lack of prices is simply because we want to see the customs stamp on the invoice, so we know exactly how much it's costing to get the goods into our warehouse. You'd be surprised to see what freight forwarders and customs can think up which you'd have to pay to get the parts. That's using a proper forwarder with whom we have contracts etc. When you try to do this on personal title... well.. it'll be like going to the casino. You might be lucky, but you also might loose a lot

Got over to p/x my 400 pick up the new 410 with Central Lotus in Nottingham yesterday. All in it was around 800 miles for the round trip with the ferry journey providing a break both ways.

The Lotus focussed set-up at Central is impressive and really provides everything you could need for road or track car prep. Some great expansion plans as well!

As for first impressions of the 410 (bearing in mind it is stillat early stage engine run-in). It's a 400 on steroids that have been injested while drinking copious amounts of Red Bull! ?

At 3000 revs in 6th gear it does 87-93 mph depending on road anglel. At that speed the downforce is noticeably better than the 400. The suspension ride & travel is also firmer, but not uncomfortably so. The ti exhaust  has got a slightly different sound quality, although this may in part be due to modified engine map. It is still manic.

Finally I absolutely love the carbon bucket seats! 4 hours solid driving with no discomfort (& no creaks). They do look a little smaller in the cabin than usual, but the bonus is more floor space to make up for the lack of door compartments.

I'll put some more considered thoughts up, together with a few pics later this week.
