Arrrgh!

Well, the pound to dollar ratio has evened out to a rate very favorable to those in the US, and I imagine those purchasing with US dollars would rather pay soon, rather than later, as the GBP rockets back up into the sky. 

Could there be a way for someone from Alunox to inform us how to pay for just the "base" system (meaning the "Base Price" of 1250 GBP for G-Esprit kits)? i.e. there has to be someone at that business answering phones and emails, who can say, "Okay, here is our address for those wanting to use Paypal; these are the credit cards we take, ring us up and we'll take your information." 

Not trying to be "pushy", but right now, between last week and today, the base (Group Buy) price has dropped over one-hundred twenty five dollars for us in the States, just based on the now lower exchange rates, and I'm sure those paying in, well, anything from AUS dollars to CFP to Euros could also benefit from a timely purchase, as this drop may well offset a large portion of the shipping costs.

         Timing is everything , I know in the past people have done Bank Transfers to Alunox, but I believe you have to do it in the bank your end. Alunox are not there this week end but are willing to trust me with bank details to email to you. Or you can wait until Monday. I will try to get them today.

Timing is everything!!!  Bank Transfers are a total PIA and are a bit costly, but they do work...

 

I just went to IOM a few weeks ago and bought a MV to ride while there. Bank transfer was tricky but any bank can do it. It's not something in the USA that we are used to doing.

I'd prefer to use a credit card to make the purchase.  so much easier for international purchases.  All my previous purchases with SJ Sportscars (England) were done via CC.  I had to notify my CC company of the international purchase as they are very wary of fraudulent charges when they see a European charge coming through.

 

I hope ALunox gets us invoices soon.  Would love to take advantage of the current exchange rate.

I do deal on regular basis with international companies, especially UK ones. So far never had to arrange a bank transfer.  

Every decent size company accepts CC, hopefully it is the case with Alunox also.

International money transfer (wire) in any bank in US costs $70+!

Please, make sure they take American Express CC.

I certainly hope the payment can be made via either Credit card or PayPal transfer. Thank you for the information, Mark! However, I double checked and my Credit Union will not actually perform Bank Transfers to the UK (or anywhere outside the continental United States). I learned that early on when I bought the car and wanted to do a bank transfer, but thought maaaaaaybe they'd changed the rule in the past few years....! Eeeew!

Did anyone received any communication from  Alunox?

I have not seen any info regarding Alunox addressing their acceptable methods of payment and allowing us to arrange for payment while currency exchange rate is beneficial for overseas orders.  My recollection is that there were previous group buys which included US buyers.  Maybe someone remembers how payments were arranged.

Hi Guys ,

             I've just spoken with Leon at Alunox ,Anita is back on the 8th July and she will deal with the Lotus order as a top priority on her return. The main thing is Alunox are in production now. This is a busy time of year for Alunox with the Goodwood Festival of Speed and staffing levels being low due to holidays.  I know you may not be getting a response at the moment but Leon does appreciate your frustration. I can also confirm your emails have been received.

I may of missed it but was there a price for the addition of a 3" system for the Stevens? Looking for a single left hand exit like the original but 3" all the way from turbo back. No need for a cat converter as it's an 88 carb turbo.
