Alarm fuse C2 blowing

My recently delivered V8 is giving me some grief.  The alarm fuse C2 is blown and blows the replacement fuse with seconds.  No siren or alarm activity, just 'puff' after several seconds.

The car was delivered with the immobiliser disabled, but I understand that this was done in an attempt to overcome the alarm problem.

Has anyone encountered similar symptoms and if so, what was the cause or even better, the remedy?

If there's not a wire shorted to ground then it's probably the alarm controller that's gone. Try disconnecting the outputs (indicators, horn, door locks etc) from the alarm one at a time to see if it's one on them causing the problem.

Mine was horn, battery corroded, destroyed it and was blowing alarm fuses. Same re bypass imob too. Fitted new alarm and imob circuit.
