Good stuff pinky, but there are two important points that need to be explored and dealt with:

1/ Is it a FREE BAR. ( In other words, you buy the beer "ALL" night )

2/ You need to get The Smiths to do the music.

:)

Chris,

Nope and erm, nope. We'd all end up hanging from the ceiling. What am I made of money? :) The only free drinks will be mine!! :)

Jimmy, you have mail.

Well, having been asked about local hotels I thought a little local knowledge may go a long way.

here's a selection.

Cheap and cheerful

http://www.expedia.co.uk/index/uk/england/...ham-hotels.aspx both nice within walking distance. Abbey has wonderful views and is next to the oldest pub in east anglia.

http://www.4hotels.co.uk/uk/wymondham.html Guest houses and B&B's

Expensive but very nice.

Yeah, checked and still should be fine to come. The Esprit may still be at Long Strattons being MOT'd though so will only have a hire car unfortunately  .

Though at least I will be able to drink.

Just a question, and queue the many silly answers.....what is the dress code for the evening? (I take it towel and flip flops maybe a little under dressed :)

Adam

My daughters wanted me to make it fancy dress with a super hero theme. They even had plans for a Pink flying suit for me, so I quickly put a stop to that!

Smart Casual I would say, though Jeans & Shirt is fine (thats what I'll be wearing!)

Look forward to seeing you all there.

I will pick you up if you need a lift, can't guarantee a lift home though!! Just e-mail where you want picking up from and what time! (don't put your address if you are posting here coz there is some dodgy geezers on this site!) pub car park etc would probably be best i guess.

LET THAT BE A LESSON TO ALL YOU PUSSIES PULLING OUT OR MAKING FLIMSY EXCUSES ABOUT BEING ON HOLIDAY AND STUFF!!

Hi,

I was forty just over two Christmas ago. I had a fancy dress party, about 75 attended. My theme was films, anything to do with films, got some really good characters and a lot of people went to the trouble of making costumes, adding even more fun to the event. I had prizes for the best costumes, people won an Oscar and other goodies. Brilliant party. I think I've got one to go to next year

Here's one Miss Lara Croft and me as Vader ;) As you know Roger Kimbers, here's one of Roger and Family ;) He won a lot of the prizes as he made all the costumes, they were brilliant! :)

OK, anymore for anymore? I need some numbers for food purposes.

Norwich guys need to know who's coming. Owen? Simonf? Andy? Red/Blue stripe Chris? Someone talk to me!!!!!

Hopefully (fingers crossed) spoken to a blues/soul band today. They are nearly a grand but well worth the money as they are excellent. loads of Commitments/Blues Brothers style music.

Beer........of course......grub......hopefully (still not sorted)..........and lots of drunken ramblings!! ;)
