Had the Elise weighed at the first service today.

With a full tank of fuel and the hardtop fitted, it weighed in at 931kg. Not bad for a “modern” car.

Need to weight the hardtop, the soft top weighs 5kg and I rarely use the hardtop, it was only fitted for a warranty swap today.

So I’ve now weighed the hard and soft tops.

931kg with HardTop
922kg  with SoftTop
917kg without any roof.

Assuming power is correct, it’s a power to weight of 236bhp/ton

How is life with the new car Lee?

As much as I love the Evora, I do get days I miss the smaller more lithe nature of an Elise on a backroad.  I could push mine done the drive with one hand.

I miss the Evora, it was my dream car, it was effortless power and was fantastic on long runs.

The Elise has better fuel economy and open roof motoring, with the recent news of my wife’s BT getting worse, I think it was the right decision to bank some cash, hence the sale/purchase.

@CocoPops Is your car fitted with A/C ? Sound insulation pack ?

Yup, A/C, carpets, mats, NVH Pack, stereo, 2piece discs, forged wheels.

Didn't realise it weighed that much! 

My problem is where can I leave it... wife/ kids or pet won't touch/break/scratch it! #firstworldproblems
