clock illumination

Hi just bought a excel last night, driving home with a torch shining on the clocks is there a fuse for clocks illumination.

What year is it? There's differences on earlier models (approx pre 86)

It's a 85

Just check the illumination control on the dashboard isn't turned down. There's 2 dials either side of the cigarette lighter.

Left side is for the heater controls right side controls the guages.

That's soooo funny...we may laugh, but I'm the guy sat in the petrol station for an hour, being the center of attention in his lovely new Esprit, it felt like everyone was watching me, unable to find the release buttons for the fuel flaps, then a further two days to work out how to release the bonnet catch.😁😁😁
