As I approach a reasonably significant "not dead yet" day, I am in the lucky position of having an OH who knows and kind of understands my obsession with LOTUS (she has horses, which makes the financial conversations about ownership a metric f@ck-ton easier). To that end Liz has been talking to the Lotus Driving Academy about fulfilling my long held (well, nearly eight year) desire to do the full course.
Now, please bear in mind that I am getting this information second hand from Liz (hence the emphasis on "possibility") but, it would seem that the LDA is switching it's fleet over to EMIRAs. This isn't scheduled to happen until they re-open in late Spring/ early Summer but, if that is the case, we'll have the opportunity to track an Emira before most of us will have taken delivery.
As I'm holding out for the i4 FE iteration and so won't be getting my car until, I'm guessing, Christmas 22, this makes me properly excited.
Yes, it's going to cost you. Throw in the potential opportunity to visit Lotus HQ and Classic Team Lotus though, and I think it might be worth the three day camel trek to Hethel...
