Good choice! I've played David Bowie's, "Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" first on every turntable I've ever owned. Same disc. There's something about that first track, "Five Years", that delivers more every time I've upgraded.

Wow. That is some set up. Majorly out of my price range, but I'm sure it sounds glorious. Just out of interest, what have you played on the turntable so far?

Saw one of the Blue one's when at Hendy, Eastleigh yesterday. £50 and tiny. Probably still going to buy one, though... 🙄

Mornin' all. Sorry I'm not around much at the moment - work is insane and new responsibilities have got me working stupid hours. Will make a concerted effort to catch up in February, Cub's Honour.

As I approach a reasonably significant "not dead yet" day, I am in the lucky position of having an OH who knows and kind of understands my obsession with LOTUS (she has horses, which makes the financial conversations about ownership a metric f@ck-ton easier). To that end Liz has been talking to the Lotus Driving Academy about fulfilling my long held (well, nearly eight year) desire to do the full course. Now, please bear in mind that I am getting this information second hand from Liz (hence the emphasis on "possibility") but, it would seem that the LDA is switching it's fleet over to EMIRAs. This isn't scheduled to happen until they re-open in late Spring/ early Summer but, if that is the case, we'll have the opportunity to track an Emira before most of us will have taken delivery. As I'm holding out for the i4 FE iteration and so won't be getting my car until, I'm guessing, Christmas 22, this makes me properly excited. Yes, it's going to cost you. Throw in the potential opportunity to visit Lotus HQ and Classic Team Lotus though, and I think it might be worth the three day camel trek to Hethel...

@JAWS will be along in a second... he's had his imaculate Carbon Grey NA for some time now. I was 3 years and 48K miles in my S. 4 years and change with my 400 and 31K (stupid COVID). I always thought I'd be in an Evora for the foreseeable future, but the Emira is too good a proposition for me as these cars are my daily driver. IF there had been an Evora Final Edition, it would probably have been a close run thing as I was finally in the position to buy a new car - a first for me. They've both been more than I'd hoped for, and genuinely love the ownership experience.

Don't watch Eternals. It's a spectacular misfire from the Marvel stable. You might be tempted by the award winning director (Chloe Zao) and the - on paper at least - highly watchable cast. Don't be.

That's kind of my point. We're used to it - and shouldn't be. If the brand wants to step up - then it's going to need to really up it's game. Of course, I could just be grumpy and jealous at the flourish of information for those getting their V6 FEs...

Plan? There's a plan? Nothing heard on the promised November update for i4 orders. I get that things shift, things change and complications arise. 10 mins to send a mail that says something along the lines of, "if you're waiting for an i4, hang in there, we will be in touch". If Lotus want to move to a position of better market perception, this needs to change. Lotus enthusiasts will (mostly) accept this. as we're used to it - not that that's ok - I'm not sure if prospective customers or those new to the brand will be overly enamoured. I'm still excited, and think it will be a great car, especially in i4 guise, but getting just a bit hacked off with the absence of info and comms.

Looks great. Personally, I'd leave the roof body coloured. Not a fan of the black roof on Evoras, even though that's what I have...😬
