An interesting thing for driving involvement which is at the heart of what we all expect from the Emira, is power steering tech.
The driving feel of a Lotus is partly coming from the way it steers and the feedback you get from the road, we all know that.
Elise and Exige were great in that area with no assistance but the Evora managed to be very good also with a very well tuned hydraulic system. I don't see Emira without power assistance of course but it would be great if Lotus managed to keep an hydraulic system instead of an electric one. Even if the latest have made huge progress over the years and is CO2 minus in a car dev. Lotus and McLaren have been among the last not to switch to electric power steer and they are benchmark to driving feel.
They will have to make the move at some point of course because of all the tuning possibilities elec offers and because semi autonomous applications work with this, but I would hope it doesn't come to early 😋
