  1. Exactly, that is the only difference in the 4xx the cooling
  2. The one in checked had a thin opening like drawn in the picture and only to let the air flow (minimal) towards the rear If there were any air flow to the front one I guess they would have also added a drainage hole In the end I went down the 380 cup version for mine, fully open
  3. I inspected a 430 FE today, even below the wheel arch area The front and bigger part of the vent is closed, no discussion ...no air will go through that one ..ever The rear one, apart from the drainage hole has a super small opening that will allow air flowing through the smaller aperture I seriously doubt how functional could be as the aperture is very thin
  4. And I guess that Lotus didn't think about adding a mess 🤣. It would be a 100% lotus move
  5. Can you post a picture of the opening in the wheel arch liner ? Not sure how something is open when it looks fully closed. In all the cars with vents you see clearly when the air goes through ( on the GT3 RS for example) Then misteriousky there's pictures of 430 cup where you can see them open.
  6. Just in case anyone has the same doubt, this is completely normal. Verified in other cars (410 and 420 FE)
  7. There's no special part for the 430. The reference is exactly the same. If you inspect them and you inspect the wheel arch from below they are closed https://parts.bellandcolvill.co.uk/?i=1341063&MAK=1&MDL=42&TBL=11554&SMA=0&SMO=0&ST=b138u4077f&SC=0&PBID=681770
  8. If you check the parts on deroure, it should be wide open in both 380 and 430 cup. That clam vent without the wheel arch hole is useless and 100% cosmetic ... Another Lotus screw to the list ...
  9. At the 3yr mark when I replaced mine with a moroso one they were ok Plastic gates that need replacement ...another genius idea from Lotus ....
  10. I remember that in my Exige 410, until a point after a service last year, I could hear the fuel pump preloading when moving the key to the ignition position (after turning off the immobilizer). Now, in order to hear the fuel pump preloading I have to do: ignition position, back to pre-ignition and then ignition position again Is this something a lotus software update changed? Even without the fuel pump preloading, the car starts up perfectly I'm asking specifically for 4XX Exiges due to the fuel pump being different to the 3XX Exiges Regards
  11. With new headers, y pipe, decat and no repro you are highly likely losing power
  12. Front OEM are 6.8 kg not 7.5kg And the problem with 9.5 width on the rear is that you can't fit 295/30, for example A052 or AR1, which are miles away from anything you will find in 285/30 size
  13. I think the wire connector you are referring to is for the exhaust valve switch
  14. Very useful information, I will send you a DP next year as I'm planning to make the same move to US (but to Texas instead of the East Coast) Regards
  15. I'm planning to get soon some actual performance numbers with a racebox mini. 100-160 and 100-200. There are good references in this youtube channel, and he uses a similar GPS
  16. @MrD I currently have: Komotec EX-475 remap Komotec Carbon Air box 2bular EPK (headers, y-pipe and 200 cell cat) GT Australia titanium exhaust Important to note that KT won't sell just the Air box and the remap. Given that I wanted to keep 2bular EPK as for me is the best what I did was to order the full KT 475 kit, I kept 2bular EPK and sold separately the rest of the KT hardware included in the kit. Now the car is a missile:
  17. Hi @MrD We are talking about a high flow 200 cell cat. Not sure what role the air intake will play (if it will help to mitigate the power loss or even make you gain some bhp), but just with headers-ypipe and high flow 200 cell cat, the power loss is almost guaranteed. I'm pretty sure a decat will make it even worse Regards
  18. I have Willans harnesses along with seatbelts in a 2020 V6 with carbon seats. No problem at all
  19. I did more than 500 miles as suggested by Jim, the power loss was still there, specially on the high end. Also, compared to your case, there's the factor of N/A vs supercharged. Once I added air intake and re-map, it was like a re-birth. My only doubt is if adding an air intake (still without remap) would have mitigated the power loss (or even provide a bhp gain)
  20. Without re-map you will most likely lose power. I lost 24bhp with a 2ubular EPK in my 410, I had to remap and add an air intake and then yes 476bhp Stock vs 2bular (no re-map and no air intake)
  21. @cuprapw - www.lotusforsale.com please
  22. I installed this one in the circuit where the pcv is, which is the problematic one in the 4xx engines
  23. I ordered them 2.5 months ago, it is insane what it is happening with tyres stock, specifically Yokohama
  24. I just fitted 225/45 and 295/30 in my 410 Front: -1.6° camber (all shims out), there's a bit of rubbing on the backor the right side with the wheels fully turned Back: -2° camber (max the excentric can do) no rubbing at all And by the way, what an impressive tyre the A052... A few pictures of cup 2 285 vs A052 295
