  1. Solved. The terminal on the end of the wire had broken off and the wire itself had "shrunk" back into the loom about an inch so as to be unnoticed. Hi, thanks for the input. I do not use either of the plugs shown in the picture anymore. The dash bulb is good, I just took the dash apart to check. The problem I'm having is finding the brown/yellow wire from the back of the bulb that goes to the engine bay, I see it come out the back of the bulb but it doesn't go to either of the plugs I show in the picture, or anywhere else in the engine bay that I can find.

  3. I have replaced the Bosch k-jetronic in my 1988 turbo with a ME221 ECU. The car runs good but I have caused myself some grief with the alternator. In my haste to remove unused wiring to neaten up the install I have inadvertently removed the brown/yellow wire to the alternator. Now I can't seem to work out how it plugs back into the loom. The ignition light is off on the dash and the alternator is not charging the battery. According to the wiring diagram I would expect to see a brown/yellow wire from the loom coming into the engine bay via one of these plugs. However, I do not see such a wire, I do have the wire from the alternator to what I believe went into the round black plug under the coolant tank, (my memory is a bit fuzzy so on this). I haven't wrapped the new loom yet as I wanted to confirm I had all the wring correct before doing so. Does anyone see what I'm missing here? I've tried jumping the wire from the alternator to each pin in the plugs and still no light. Am I looking in the wrong location for the alternator wire to the ignition light? I'm very close to getting this car back on the road after five years of it languishing in various garages! Regards, Mark
  4. Hi Gjk, Yes I found them thanks. Chillidoggy, good idea, it's tucked away far enough the carpet seems a bit unnecessary.
  5. Chillidoggy, the pipe is there on my car🤦. The old observation skills need honing! Tomcattom, I wondered what that bit of carpet was for, that'll neaten that area up when I get round to reassembling the boot area. Thanks for the help. Cheers, Mark
  6. So that's just sitting in the cavity behind the wheel well? I assumed it should be hidden away somewhere but I guess it makes sense there for easy access. What's the corrugated pipe to the left for? Mine doesn't have that either. Regards, Mark
  7. Hi, Can someone let me know how this expansion tank is supposed to mount. I cannot feel or see any mounts for it. Regards, Mark
  8. Update. The payment was made through Zelle and despite them knowing the email address is fraudulent (it has since been suspended due to several complaints) they are refusing to refund the money. It was my first time using Zelle, I will not be using it again and I would advise not using Zelle for any transactions. Regards, Mark
  9. I think so too! Fortunately it wasn't a lot of money, just a bit annoying to finally have it happen. I've always had good luck with online forum transactions on other forums. time to get more suspicious again after this lapse in judgement. Regards, Mark
  10. hmmm, this is the original PM I got from a user called Lotus245 "Hey, have you try asking cbclotus about the Engine overspeed module A082M6374 - 1988 Esprit Turbo he has to part out with ? If not i will advice you to ask him because the last time i spoke with him, it's still available and he wants to let it go for a very affordable offer.. Just got what i purchased from him yesterday.. You can email him for a fast response.. bpearseparts@yahoo.com.. Have a nice day.." I guess I'll just have to chalk this one up to being stitched up! Regards, Mark
  11. Hi, Does anyone know cbclotus, Bryan Pearce? I bought an item from him via a tip off on this forum and now he has gone awol since I sent him the money. Its been two weeks since he last responded to an email despite several follow ups and still no item has arrived. Any help with contacting him or contact information other than emails would be appreciated. Regards, Mark
  12. Other than holding the rubber o-ring in place I don't really see the need for them.
  13. Good idea re pick and pull, I'll see what I can find.
  14. No, it's pressed onto the non threaded end and holds the small seal in place.
  15. Thanks, I tried JAE, you are correct, they have the injectors but one has to use the old top hats off the old injectors. Its the top hat part I need as one injector I pulled out has a damaged one. regards, Mark
