  1. I guess the reason Eric Bloullier was not sent on gardening leave but can start workling at McLaren next Monday, the fact that Pastor will be their driver this year and why Kimi never received his money, were already clear signs. So not confused at all to be honest.
  2. Like the whole £20???? So Bibs what are you going to do with all this money now that you are famous AND rich? Hey well, it's better than nothing of course.
  3. Ansar Ali is a man to my heart. no 5 claymodels but immediately a (high) performance car... and I bett better funding too.
  4. With a debt of $160 million the options are going to run out soon, no worries Trevor. The reason for the Enstone based team and Marrussia being set to "subject to confirmation" is simple. They forgot to pay their entry fee. This entry fee is based upon the points you gained the year before and so it's quite a lot of money for the Enstone based team.
  5. Idd that guy is a legend... probably the person who will be missed the most in Enstone this year...
  6. Well I like them all actually, but if you'd put a gun against my head, I'd probably choose the one in front of the arch. You don't need to save your pic for next month, just make some new ones especially for us
  7. Hey Jonny, I was finally hoping to score in the picture of the month with the Belgian tricolore Esprit photo shoot, you're stealing my light here LOL Very great pic from your G-car, love it!!!!
  8. wow talk about a bad surprise...
  9. Or one could also say; while building the Evora; Lotus learned a lot of new things and they took those with them when they started to build the Exige, which is in essence an Elise front end and an Evora back end... So I don't feel your comment about the Evora is fair. Still, lots of (former) Lotus mechanics always tell me that the first 500 production models are all prototypes Which is logic at a low volume hogh performance car manufacturer.
  10. Thanks all for all the great reactions we got! We hope you will all see this topic a bit as a challenge. We formed the Belgian flag in the capital of Belgium, Brussels. So come on, get your Lotus out and create even better flags German, French, English, Scottish, Welsh,... let us see your cars We started this... we hope you finish it...
  11. every 911 Porsche has mid life crisis written all over it imo...
  12. one could also blame it on the boogie... there are a lot of similarities between Bahar and Lotus Cars and between Genii en the Enstone team, but the bottom line is, neither of them were capable and experienced enough to run the business. Let's hope Genii leaves soon.
  13. LOL that's a good one Bibs, in a year where F1 changes completely every testing mile is extremey important. I remember Boullier saying that they were working already for 2 years on that car... You don"t have to be a google wizard to find that quote. So what have they been doing then for over 2.5 years???? I'd say it's because so many important people left the Enstone based team, (mainly because they didn't got paid) and they chose to work elsewhere for (more) money and really got paid at the end of the month... Even the CEO has given up now... it's becoming somewhat farcical...
  14. Thnx all, but keep in mind it's Red Baron who should get the credit. I only had to keep my Esprit running... Needless to say especially the red Esprit looks a bit nicer than the other 2 Yup it was renewed (in- and outside) a few years ago and is more shiny than ever! Hi Filip great to see you are still a live. I guess you still didn't finish your Esprit? Let me know if you need any help. Hope to meet you soon again. We should do a Belgian Esprit meeting... Empty streets? Red Baron has to join 2 pictures in order to get rid of some traffic ;-) Hello Andrew that picture is taken in front of the royal palace in Laken, the palace where the old king (King Albert II) actually lives. The new king (king Philippe) lives in his "working" palace in the center of Brussels. Actually we wanted to take a picture there in the first place, but when we came there the road was blocked as there was a festivity going on. That's a shame.
  15. ...ask what you can do for your country... So we recreated the Belgian flag in Lotus Esprit style! All credit goes to forum member Red Baron whom has made all these fantastic pictures!!!!
  16. The Sagaris shown on the Evans website is standing less than a mile away from me ;-) On topic; The Evans stuff is very great, BUT someone I know his Mosler burnt away after a coolwater hose started to leak. This stuff is really flammable. I would recommend RedLine WaterWetter. The REAL F1 Team lotus used this already back in the eighties...
  17. My very close sources tell me, he will need a miracle to make it... :-( It really is looking very bad. I never was a fan of him, in fact in my mind Damon Hill is F1 World Champion twice and Schumacher 6 times, still I hope the miracles happens and he recovers in full, not as a plant.
  18. I intend to think that I know quite a bit about the last years of the Team... So I'm interested
  19. A friend of mine ordered an Elise 2 weeks ago, he will have it in 4 or 5 weeks... So it's not that busy...
  20. Hence why I always said that Lotus building their own engine, is like committing suicide as it need a constant development ;-) The price for a BMW engine is more than 3 times the price of the Toyota engine and can only be bought if you also buy their gearbox AND ECU. That ECU can not be tampered with in any way, if you do it any way, BMW will not give any warranty… Making their own engines is also what killed TVR. So Spyker has a realistic plan
