many thanks, all tried resetting, worked on one side, the other side will not work correctly... just a bit amazed at the cost of the unit, just replaced one on a bmw for 44 euro's.....

my window regulator does not open a bit when i open the door. Should be some micro switch inside, anybody had a go at repairing this without buying the complete system? Anybody looked at which motor lotus uses? Thanks!

The drive for the heater flap motor was broken, water had gotten into it. Replaced it from underneath just had to get the front undertray removed.

Many thaks all, will tackle this next weekend goal is to replace the heater flap control. Will let you know!

Have this problem with an evora which does not provide warm air to the Cabin. Have checked the heater pipes, they are both hot so ok. the interior actuator works ok. Now i am suspecting the temperature flap actuator. Can i reach this from underneath if the front undertray is removed or do i have to take the complete unit out? Suggestions are very welcome.

Completely agree with you both, always tell that this changing world is the reason we have to die as we no longer want/can cope with it.... I hopelessly am stuck in the old lotus and enjoying it very much. Seeing these new chinese cars makes me wonder how we could change so quickly? where has our common sense gone. Wonder what chapman would think of a lotus weighing 2600 kgs and having 900 bhp transporting 1 person..... do we really think that we can solve our environmental problems in the way we are acting at the moment....

Had to lift it out completely. But to be honest i have not looked at doing it otherwise. You already have to get everything off . Cannot remember i have taken the bumper off thought it stayed on the clam. If you take the clam off there are shim plates underneath to correct the position of the clam (at least at my car). Just put them back in the same place.

Can be done using an engine hoist without 2 post. That is the way i have pulled he engine of the evora.

exchanged the gearbox at home. i think it is very doable but a lot of work. I would not start at it with little mechanical skills to be honest.

we are trying to engineer ourselves out of these troubles but my opinion is we are only making things worse by producing even more. In a few generations there will be less people on earth fore sure. The fact that in my younger life nobody worried about these problems, now we are getting more and more aware. A couple of generations further our childrens children will be doing the right thing whatever that may be.

just a question, how important is Lotus Hethel forGeely, is it only branding and a bit of engineering??

C8RKH is 100% right, we think we can engineer ourselves out of this but the only thing is that we are digging a deeper hole for our childrens children.

not that much of a problem, a schunk of the box casing has to be cut away to make room for the starter motor. Have used an angle grinder and a pneumatic hand tool for that. The gear box cost me € 350,-.. Replaced it myself.

For me that is the thing with all modern sportcar, they are so big..... We have an evora, when it sit along side our esprit i always get the feeling i should do a top chop and lower the roof,,,

Thanks anyway Fillip, made the part myself out of a steel bar, attachment with a nut it works properly. Could be this is a different part on the stevens esprits Filp, this is an s1.
