Gutted the Turbo Esprit won't be there - would love to see that car for real. Planning a trip to London in the Spring so will need to make a point of going to see this show.......maybe they will have sourced the a Turbo by then!!!!

Absolute beauty Daniel!!!! Well done!! Totally agree with the other comments regards the Esprit being a worthwhile investment. Looks like the Esprit has finally started to command big money prices compared to where they were when I bought my old one 5 years ago. That car (D10LOT) is now no longer for sale I see at uksportscars even though I thought it was priced quite high when I first saw the ad. I also see the Limited Edition two tone red one that sold at auction for around £16k and was then advertised on uksportscars for £35k!!!!!!! is also now sold. Looks like this is a good time to own an Esprit! I just hope I can finally agree a deal with the one I've been chasing after since June - getting very close now and hope to have it in the Spring. Never had to be so patient buying a car but I'm sure the wait will be worthwhile!!!

Looks fantastic - you must be absolutely over the moon. Christmas presents don't come much better than this. I'm hoping to be just as chuffed in the Spring when all things working out I will be the owner of a very similar car but not white which I have to say is beautiful. Very well done Sir!! Sorry but after reading your complimentary comment towards the SD1 I couldn't resist putting a pic of my Vitesse in - hope you like it. Have had the Twin Plenum Vitesse since 2007 but planning to sell as I have plans to buy another G Turbo Esprit. I owned the Esprit pictured below which I see is currently for sale at UKSportscars. That is a lovely car but the one I plan to buy this time is a little more special I think......wish me luck! The lights are the same but I've always seen them personally as two totally different cars and love them both!!!

Sorry Buddsy missed that when I initially posted of I'm honest but when I reread a couple of hours later I did wonder but couldn't be bothered amending........ Yes they are all pretty much individually specced and I so wish my last one had a black or tan interior as I would have kept instead of still looking for its replacement 5 years later!!

Thanks for the reply - is that the body colour paint because on the early ones the mirrors and bumpers were different even on black cars from what I can understand..... I just reread my first post and I've probably not been clear - its the paintcode for the mirrors I'm looking for

Hi could someone please supply me the black paint code for the early S3 Turbo Esprits with the black wing mirrors and bumpers and are they both painted with same colour coded black paint. I've had a good look through this topic and I see no mention of this. Thanks

That was probably my old Esprit Turbo D10LOT - sold now I am afraid to a nice chap down in Surrey. It was a beautiful example and I am sure Russell will keep it that way as he really seemed to love it!! Maybe buy another one some day but it would have to be Calypso with black interior instead of magnolia - that just wasn't my thing

I had my Esprit at Glamis - very, very wet. Not happy getting the car so wet but had a good day anyway. It was nice being the only Esprit there.

Kenny, I can recommend Aly at SLS as he has had my car in a couple of times over the last couple of months doing aloot of specialised jobs as well as the SJ Sportscars gear linkage improvement and has made a significant difference. I would recommend you keep trying him as he is always at the garage but takes on alot of work!! He has an assistant now though which should mean he should be able to cope better with the workload he has. I proabably should have said, I have a Calypso Red 86 Turbo Esprit and I live in Falkirk. You will find my car in the LEF Owners Garage section. Keep trying Aly as he is great value for money and really takes care of the cars and soes a great job!!

Cheers Robert thought as much. Just one of a long list of "new improvements" that have been made to my car over the last few weeks by the people who were working on it. The car is going back in in 2 weeks to get the seat leather dyed again. However the car is now driving brilliantly after a new steering rack had to be installed. I have posted new pics in the members section that I took last week. Apologies for not getting back to you. Your reply has just reminded me that I never replied. I had issues with my system - supplied by my work so can't complain I suppose. Congratulations on your new purchases and best of luck with the restorations!! Cheers.

Seems like a straightforward question but what way do you push the button to get the window to go up? I have just had some restoration work done on the interior of my car and I am convinced the button now works the opposite way from which it was designed and was wondering if they have rewired it back together the wrong way or put a plug in the wrong way round. When you want the windows in my car now to go up you have to push the button down and vice versa if you want the opposite action. Is this correct as it doesn't feel right somehow?????? Please let me know your views.
