Hello guys,

I'm french, ans very Bad in english, si i'm sorry for that.

I have bought an Evora S sport racer Yesterday and have 2 problem.

The first ils the least serions ans maby its normal... When i want to start, I turn the Key in position 3 and nothing... I need to press the middle button and the engine start. I dont know if its normal too but when I turn the Key in position 2 I have six beep.

For the second problem I need to go in a lotus garage... I can hear a "clac clac" noise from a left wheel. It's really scary.

I Hope you understand me.

Thanks.

The key press is to release the very normal engine immobiliser. It resets itself very quickly after opening the door.

The clack clack sound does need investigating. It may just be a stone trapped in the tyre tread, or something else.

I am not sure about the key issue as I am not familiar with how it operates.

Left wheel could be a wheel bearing if there is nothing in the tyre?

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Opinions are like armpits. Everyone has them, some just stink more than others.

Nothing in the tyre, this sound appear only when the car (wheel) is not cold, After about 20min, it's in right turn or straight Line at a low speed.

Bearing, yes... But the car have only 18000miles

Does the noise disappear if you turn left?

Oh, and welcome to TLF Kevin. :welcome:

Post up some pictures of your car in the Introductions thread. Everyone on here loves to see photos.

What do you think of the Evora? Is this your first Lotus?

J'ai eu le même problème. Commencer, vérifier les boulons de roue et votre couple de 105 Nm.

That is good advice, and extremely good manners to post in French. 👍

Makaimura, don't apologise, your English is very good. My French is still terrible despite trying to improve over many years of going to Le Mans. Kudos on buying a Lotus in France, weirdly I've airways wanted a Venturi Atlantique...which must be as rare a sight in the UK as an Evora is in France?!
