@Chillidoggy put some LED lights in last year, and was very impressed.

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

Www.classiccarleds.co.uk not cheap but seriously good, especially with the 4-main beam mod.

I've been talking with Duncan at  Classic Car LEDs these last few days. He's a really helpful chap. I want to get replacement LED bulbs that have a similar  colour temperature to standard halogen bulbs (around 3000k apparently). They  currently don't have any "warm white" 3000k  H1 bulbs in stock. They'll get more in late February. They do however have the 3000k  H4 bulbs. If you wanted to go with the ice white 6500k bulbs I  think they have both  H1 and H4 bulbs  in stock.

Normally Aspirated - and lovin' it!

Agreed Colin, really helpful chap, and I went with the warm white. I was so pleased with the results, I followed his recommendations for the remainder of the lighting, too. Really brings the lighting up to a more modern standard.

Nice,

I noticed that my lights area bit rusty on the insides may go the same way

I had a similar problem, and as I couldn't find anyone who could sell me the correct replacement CIBIE light units, I got them re silvered at a Chrome Restoration Specialist. Not a cheap alternative as they charge to dismantle the semi sealed unit  on top of the cost of doing the re silvering, but they did an excellent job.

Have you just swapped the bulbs or the whole light units???

I swapped the 4 headlights, since mine where sealed beams. But if you can replace only the bulb, it'll be cheaper.
