Wanted - S3 rear hatch latch/release mechanism

I am looking for a complete rear hatch latch/release mechanism that activates through the rear spoiler via a key lock.  These are the parts...

I've looked - Neither has everything.  I am hoping to find someone who is parting out an S3 (that wasn't hit in the rear).

Is there not a comparable part from another car? 

The outside is so familiar from my youth - would it be the same part as an Austin Maxi or something like that (since that is the door handle style)?

Did I have that on my old 70/80's Spitfire? I am trying to remember that far back! Try a Triumph parts supplier? (I think that the light motors are from a TR7!)

I have no idea really.  Being from the US, I don't often get to see those cars to compare.

I suppose the next option is asking an S3 owner who is doing restoration, to make technical drawings of the part. It all looks pretty much basic engineering and so I suspect it's nearly all bespoke to Lotus.
