  1. Looks like your paint mark is about 5 degrees off, give or take. Cam pulleys have 40 teeth, or 9 degrees per tooth. It is well within reason for your cam pulley timing be off half a tooth or so depending on any machining done to the head, block or cam carriers and the thickness of gaskets and sealants on all of the joints between them. Believe the machined TDC mark on the flywheel and get the cams as close as possible. If minor misalignments bother you, you can get adjustable cam pulleys.
  2. At least some federal '87's came with veneer. The side piece should pivot in towards the center of the instrument binnacle and then pull out. Earlier clusters had screws that secured the side panels. I have a set out of a car - I'll need to round them up to see if they used a friction fit.
  3. Lotus did not use Hylomar at hose joints - they were simply bare rubber hoses clamped to bare aluminum pipes. From what I have seen, cars that have been properly maintained have less corrosion at these fittings. By properly maintained I mean that coolant was changed at the proper intervals regardless of the mileage between intervals. I use a light smear of a grease made specifically for coolant hoses mainly to make the joint easier to take apart than to provide additional sealing capability. It might help a little to prevent corrosion, but I don't have enough data to say one way or another.
  4. I like Leatherique products for our cars. I've restored several interiors of G-bodied cars with outstanding results. It's pretty surprising how far older leather can be brought back. Their Rejuvenator oil and Prestine (sic) Clean cleaner are formulated for the types of leather used in our cars. Use as directed. Zymol is good too. I can't say for sure what is on your rag, but the darker section of leather in your photo looks plenty dirty. You may just be seeing decades worth of sweat, body oils, smoke, cleaning products, and protectants getting removed from the surface of the leather.
  5. Do you have a parts manual? There were different throttle cable routings and attachments based on year and market.
  6. Penetrating oil, a small steering wheel puller, some tapping and patience.
  7. This helps with those inaccessible spaces... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BQLPB8VS
  8. There should be an access/inspection hole in the sill below the tank. You can snake a vacuum hose in there to try and clear up the mess it it is in the sill itself. If you have access to a borescope, can see where the nest might be. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BQLPB8VS Super handy tool. If it is not in the sill, you can use the borescope to poke around from above by removing the shelf over the tank.
  9. The various parts to remove and clean are brass, so they will deform easier than you might think. A little heat with a butane torch will help loosen them up. An ultrasonic cleaner with carb cleaner in it is awesome for cleaning out the castings and removing varnish from the jets and emulsion tubes. Removing the throttle shaft isn't that big of a deal, but you only need to remove it if the bearings have worn to the point where they leak air - either in or out. The bearings are a light press fit. If you do split the pedestal for the float pin, they can be repaired. Eurocarb is your place for all things Dellorto. (https://www.dellorto.co.uk/) They have everything you need.
  10. Hi - I am interested in the interior parts you have listed.  Are they still available?

hi, sorry for not responding, wasnt online

yes we have most of the parts left

the interior parts are doorsides and dash, also the fabric behind the seats. They have been in a storage for a long time so they need a good clean and maybee some restoration.

Dont know the shippingcost for the parts

      i can send more pics.

      what bumper did you want?

      best regards tomislav

  11. Actually just the interior parts. The bumpers are available from SJ for significantly less.
  12. I would be interested in the interior components (what does that price include?) and a front and rear bumper. I'm in the states.
  13. Thanks - the older style are easy to find (and cheap!). I've sent Mike an email but haven't heard anything back.
  14. Title says it all. I'm located in the states, so willingness to ship is important.
