Hopefully. Michelin Cup 2 tyres need using up, have PS4 for the road. Also want to get the 340R on track again.

Justin

btw, the Cup 2 Connects wear very well.  I got at least 6 track days in so far with no edge wear.

I have a second set ready to go in, but my next tire after that will be the Goodyear F1 Supercar 3R.  They have gotten rave reviews in print and from track peers.

Circling back to this.

On track, the Nitron suggested setting of +10 clicks front and rear work great.  I have 5 track days on the books with them and the car has never handled better (less roll, more stable, easy to correct, etc.)

I played with +15 clicks which is closer to stock if not even more subtle on the bumps since there is less unsprung weight.

I have never had an inertia switch issue and found out that the original friend of mine that did was using a pervious owners Nitrons and the bumper stops were missing, so the root cause may be lying in that somewhere.

I had factory fitted Ohlins R&T on a previous car and they knocked.  Became more pronounced after c30k miles, mainly experienced / heard at low speeds but didn’t affect the performance notably.  I tried to get a claim through the manufacturers warranty but it was put down to wear and tear (no doubt £1500 per corner influences them).  Went round the houses trying to find out more about the issue and eventually spoke to Ohlins themselves. They recommend a service every few years.  Apparently there is a bearing which wears and makes the noise (I can’t remember the name but DV bearing rings a bell). They weren’t overly worried about performance of them, and quite matter of fact that it’s not a road part and you should expect to maintain it more diligently than something that is fitted as standard to put up with UK roads.  I left them as they were and accepted the noise as part of the ownership experience.

Do the Nitrons really require servicing as they suggest?   I can't find the documentation, but they said every 12 track days or something like that they should be sent in for a rebuild.

I have probably 25 or so on the clubsports and they seem fine.  Is there a symptom I should look for?
