2012 - Lotus Evora NA✔️

2015 - BMW M3 V8✔️

2016 - S2 Elise T25 SC✔️

2018 - Porsche GT4 ClubSport✔️

2023 - Exige 410Sport 😜

Excited to be live on this platform again for some friendly banter (have been lurking occasionally in the background) and advice but more importantly, really excited to be back in a Lotus after 5 years.

GT4 is the best car I’ve personally ever owned to date. All things considered including feel I think it’s unbeatable in the sub £100k car market when you take into account performance (tussle hard all day long with GT3’s and McLaren’s), noise, looks, quality/reliability and finally ownership costs taking into account depreciation..

But… I needed a change (going back for the same meal again and again mentality) and my brother spontaneously decided to buy a tasty manual GT3 leaving his lightly used Exige with lashing of exposed Carbon 😍 up for sale.. I couldn’t resist! 

Had my first drive and outing around Goodwood a week or so ago. Thank you Komo-tec!!! Trick exhaust works a treat. Static 92 dB Drive by <98dB 😇

First impressions - I think it’s going to be more me, a bit faster, more exotic, and MORE FUN!!

Have reintroduced myself in the Introductions section, thought it polite to say hello again on here after 4 years.. 

As previously mentioned came close to a 380.. an opportunity presented itself, sold the GT4 and am delighted to be back in a Lotus.

What a lovely colour! Welcome back. Was your GT4 a 981 or a 718? How do they compare to the mighty 410?

Yes. Slightly different from the std settings. Evolved over time. It’s a nice useable setup.

GT4 was a 981 Clubsport.

From just one outing so far it’s tricky to judge but in the dry around Goodwood I’d say almost identical.

Exige definitely has more immediate pull and I suspect you can brake later being so much lighter. GT4 has immense mid corner grip that over a lap makes it a fast car. I often had great fun sticking with stock GT3’s. The handling is as most say, just excellent and flatters the most novice of drivers - like me!! I didn’t have the balls to test the Exige to its limit a few weeks ago but first impressions say it’s faster but i’ll have to be on my top game to extract it without having a moment! I have a feeling the GT4 would probably always be quicker on wet track. 
Am heading out to Donny later this week, few of my mates have GT4’s.. Will be fun finding out 😀

GT4 to 410 is always a wise move, these cars have so much feel and theatre is unreal. Welcome back to the fold then and pls share some more pics:)
