My 2010 Evora key fob buttons have cracked, has anyone else had this problem, or is it just due to the heat here in Bahrain?

Has anyone found out where Lotus sourced the key from? I thought it was from a Ford Mondeo, but looking at pictures, i'm not so sure.

A1326099S seems to be the part I need, currently checking if its still available but being a cheap Yorkshire man £62 seems a lot as I just need the plastic housing.

Just wondering if this part available from other sources before I buy from Lotus.

Many thanks

I also bought a new one last year through a Lotus dealer. I don't think you'll have an issue with supply as it's the same key as my builder's Transit, which he found very amusing.

Thanks for the replies. I too thought it was a Mondeo key, but all of the pictures I can find look like my old 2006 Ford Focus key. Transit pics seem to look the same?

I'm probably going to have to get 1 from Lotus for £65. I had it confirmed the other day that they are still available.

It's a transit key. Just don't ask me how I know...

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

The small print.
