Steering rack spacer.

Does anybody know the thickness of the spacers that sit under the clamps on a manual steering rack?  SJ say no longer available, but they just seem to be a thick piece of steel with two holes in.  I shall have to make them but need to know thickness.

Mine are aluminium so maybe not original - I'll measure them tomorrow.  Off the top of my head I'd say 1/2".  I plan on checking bump steer later on so may end up with a different thickness.

Long long looooong while since I worked on mine, but I think they were aluminium also.

Yep - 1/2" thick.
