Evora S MY12 lower wishbone and ball joint assembly

Hi hive mind

Are there any alternative manufacturers of the lower wishbone and ball joint assembly as Lotus want £687.57 + VAT.

Need to replace both as mine have play in them.

I haven't seen any aftermarket lowers, just uppers. 

If the play is from worn bushings, they should be individually replaceable.

Its not the bushes that are the issue.

I take it yr talking front lower wishbones. It is not possible to replace just the ball joints unfortunately, as with a lot of cars now. The only solution is to buy a new or sh wishbone which will come complete with ball joint and bushes, at a price, as you have found out. I replaced my nsf at about 35k miles due to ball joint knocking which was picked up on the mot, although I knew something was worn due to the noise.

you can try ES motorsport as I bought a used one from them from a new car for £200.

otherwise, it’s an expensive job!

I remember watching a program about Gallardo's, there was a company who would remove the old ball joint, cut a thread into the hole and then thread in a complete new ball joint. I suspect this may be a possibilty in the future when wishbones become unobtainable!
