Silver wheels, search for colour code

Tried to get the colour codes from Lotus for the silver paint on the factory wheels for the Sport 410 (2019) and the Exige S (2015) to get some touch up paint for stone chip repair.

Answer from customer service:
Unfortunately, we are not able to advise on this as we do not paint the wheels and they come ready coloured by the supplier.
I would suggest speaking with a paint specialist as they will be able to match the paint colour.
I apologise that we cannot assist on this occasion.!"

Not sure that any paint shop will make a colour matching for a bit of touch up paint for an economical price.
What was your solution for that?

Lotus do indeed receive the wheels already painted and the suppliers have been secretative about this for years, it's a real pain.

Take it to a wheel refurb company, you'll be surprised how close they can get a match and they won't need to mix up a huge pot.

The manufacturer used by lotus is no longer in existence

However we had been dealing directly with them for years..

The products used to colour wheels are made by a company call Freilacke

I have one  product code for silver that was used on lotus wheels (could poss be more)

The code i have is

Sport silver is WO1838MOE20A

Our local wheel refurb company uses Freilacke to when we need help, thats who we go to

Any wheel refurb company that uses the product may be able to help, however some of the colours used are a powder, so you may find it difficult to find a 'wet' solution (I think the silvers where a painted top coat, hence silver over black etc etc)

When in business the wheel manufacturer where always very helps with info, sadly all that knowledge is now gone forever

"Mars Gold metallic", DuPont F8518

REN 118 (light) - used on the Type 49 Elise Gold wheels
