Grouping / Sorting

Recommended Posts

Hi Bibs,

since a couple of days I run into a problem with the grouping / sorting of the various subforums / topics. (no grouping / or sorting just a long list)

Until here everything goes OK:

But when i go into the Esprit section I get this:

Just a long list.

I did probably something wrong, but what? and more impotant how can I get things right again?

(It happens in Chrome and Edge)

It's an SEO improvement I'm told. If you look to the right, there are various tickboxes you can use to select which subforums you can see in that view. Google hates subforums so this is IPS's way of getting back into their good books!

I noticed this the other day and thought what was our leader doing, the actual threads on the left of the page gets scrunched up so tends to sit over 2 lines rather than 1.

Prioritising SEO over UX is like putting the cart before the ox. In my subjective view it’s a mistake. Particularly since the quality and value of the forum is powered by user created content. The previous chapter based look was great. Now it’s complicated and messy. Just feedback @Bibs

I rarely use those views but have to agree it's certainly no improvement. Like so often, the old ways were better. At least we can still access and see everything the way we like, just takes a bit more work.

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.
