Argh!!!! Said it befor will say it again. Hate it Hate it Hate it. Its for the women to look at while the men play in the garage!! If i wanted to hear from school people i would have stayed friends with them!!!

Face book is the root of all evil and a relationship wrecker. Most social network sites are and often end with disaster and suspicion amongst people. Maybe im wrong i dont know but one thing is i will never be on there.

Depends if your old school friends are honeys and let you get your leg over with them. hehe

I have a face book page but i heard a rumour that FB will charge 3.99 per month from july to write garbage in cyberspace. IS that true? IF so it makes TLF with the discounts available to greenies remarkable value for money to post bollox on the web.

If anyone grumbles at the suggestion of posting bollox on the web please refer to my posts 2, 13, 27, 28, 33, 34, 41......111, 130...141, 142..... 1270, 1278.... god is there that many from me????

Facebook won't charge, they can make billions through advertising which is reliant on huge amounts of traffic, it would be self defeating. Keep joining the 'say NO to facebook charging' groups though! :getmecoat:

Wayne, 400,000,000 people are on facebook now, it's a handy way to stay in touch.

It is a handy way to keep in touch espcially with those in different time zones etc. I also use it to find ex colleagues which can lead to more work and hence mo'money!! All good!!

Its only a relationship wrecker if you want it to be. wife and my friends are largely shared and we don't have any issues with it. I'm sure there is more than the odd bunny boiler on there but just ignore them!!

Sorry Bibs

Still not convinced. Would rather play with the car than sit on facebook. Never been one for social networking. Always argue with my partner as she is on it so much. But then she moans that im on the Lotus forum to much and then i get the comment. "Least i know the people im talking to" Cant win. Feels like were all friends anyway!!

I have to admit I'm a facebook convert, mainly because I managed to get in touch with some long-lost family members very easily that I hadn't seen for 13 years due to various circumstances.

I can't honestly say I ever spend any time 'sitting on facebook' it's more of a 5 minute check and maybe a few exchanges of messages (that would otherwise be emails I guess and I would spend the same amount of time reading & replying)

I think if socialising online leads to a wrecked relationship then that relationship was doomed to fail to start with!

I joined facebook to see what my niece was up to at University in Exeter...seems she's a leading light in their pole dancing society....!

With who though? I'm already in touch with everybody I want to be in touch with. Never been on Facebook yet so don't really know what I'm missing I guess.

I was very anti-facebook before I joined it, again saying that if I wanted to be in touch with old friends I would have stayed in contact & such like but I have to admit I'm pleased I joined now.

The town/area we live in I have never worked in and the average age group is about that of my grandparents so all of my family, friends and acquaintances live some miles away. It's an easy way to share family photos and update one another on life's happenings.

When there's no popping over for a cup of tea, meeting for a quick lunch or bumping in to one another down the pub it can be handy; sometimes you don't want to spend hours on the phone or driving for an hour or three for a catch up.

Facebook is a strange mistress...a friend of mine created a page for their dog, then befriended it and added a whole bunch of friends...

If you thought that was bad, another friend took that idea one step further and created a profile for his/her car, gave it a name and whole personality, photographs and everything...the worrying thing is when they actually have conversations with themselves...

Marge: Homer, I don't want you driving around in a car you built yourself.

Homer : Marge, you can either sit there complaining, or you can knit me some seat belts...

Just a reminder that TLF has a facebook group - http://www.facebook....52870585?ref=ts - If you're already a member of the group, please use the 'suggest to friends' feature on the left under the TLF Logo.

Anyone into their social media? I'd like a member to become the forum 'Social Media Manager' and take care of our presence on these sites, promote the page and all that, anyone?

so I can ignore this mail-spam, and could join the LotusForums own facebook-section ...and have a whole world of virtual friends instead :) time will tell.... . Don't know exactly if it makes sense...as Lotus owners can contact me via the forum anyways

I have an account, for what it's worth. I don't use it for anything other than looking at things on other people's accounts that I'm told I should look at, when I'm told I should.

I'll probably get round to closing it properly eventually.
