HELP!

I know I'm useless with tools so have never ever bothered buying anything other than a basic spanner or screw driver set.

So now, with lotus's wierd set up, I find myself totally unable to remove my battery and swap it over. I need a socket (definately) 13mm i think, to remove the positive connection (I can't get my spanner in the space to remove it) and a 10mm....something...... to remove the battery holder...once again I can't get my standard spanner in to the gap at all.

I need to do this urgently as I need to get my car to work to get the brakes replaced.

So who can help me one evening this week? Andy? Owen? Simon? Buddsy?......anyone?

Oh yeah, I also need some kind of work light as I don't even have a torch that works (one of the downsides of having kids who are like moths, they use all my torch batteries up!)

Guys please, as Kimbers get his car "with a little help" from the English Esprit Forum crowd -who can arrange that he gets also a DIY education plus a tool set !? Can't see this anymore. :)

In my opinion a Lotus driver should know the basics and should be able to do ...

 ohhh man , now i get spanked again...

so i guess a nice cheap tool kit from argos and an extension and work light is in order, thing is though kimbers will also need a heater, hat, gloves, ground sheet, thermal blanket and chair to sit in while he has someone to show him how to use them all.

i got a nice big tool kit in a chest from argos, 6 draws and a top tool tray fully loaded with all types of sockets spanners etc for just about

I used the old "pull on handbrake" trick rather than use my brakes. Though the once I did use my brake pedal I carried on braking after lifting off.

Amazing how much you use your brakes, I even found myself shouting at someone for slowing down to overtake a cyclist.
