Sport 350 magnesium alloy wheels

There are 2 offices and I doubt if they have many 'catch up' meetings as they aren't that kind of business.

There's an ad for them at the top of the page, ring that number for the Swindon office or send 'Lepsons Swindon' above a PM or email. They are, I believe, subbing some of the work out to a local mag wheel manufacturer and the Gillingham branch won't be able to do that.

Do we need to commit to a complete set or are onesy twosy's OK?

Will they colour match the originals or is it a different shade requiring a full set?

But to answer your question, yes I am interested. :D

cheers

Lepsons Swindon branch Mike :)

I took my wheels to Lepsons today and met Scott and his assistant Mike.

Most affable guys and pleasant to deal with. The company is in very modern premises and has a considerable amount of equipment installed with which to refurbish all types of wheels. After stripping/blasting the wheels will be etch primed by Dymag and then refinished at Lepsons.

The chemist who works for the group will take samples of the original paint and organise a source for same.

Costs are as advertised at

Just had a nice e-mail from a chap who hand restores wheels for the best cars out there. Incidently out of about 15 companies I tried to contact about refurbing the wheels he was the ONLY one to actually reply or get back in touch after phone calls !

Hi Jonathon ,

Just a heads up on the maggy wheel restoration .

They didn't reply to me. On the flip side Dave was really helpful and took the time to answer my questions / call back etc.

If people wanna get their wheels re-furbed they might encounter the same probs I had (ie no-one wanted to touch them / contact me back) so it's good to have a list of options available esp if you can drop the wheels off by hand instead of having them posted.

Im well tempted to take my GT3 there to have a tart up next year when the sun comes out.

@Mike Ring:

..have you got an background information from Lepsons on the type/specification of the primer and paint that was used on your wheels ?? There are to many different suggestions about 'similar' color-codes in this section. What I need to know is especially the solution used on yours :getmecoat:

Thanks

Günter

Gunter,

I am afraid that Lepsons are the only people to answer your question as they are the specialists and made a very pretty job of the wheels. The technicalities I leave to them as I am not ever likely to strip and bake a wheel myself!

Speak to Scott Joneson 01793 887222 I am sure he will be able to help you.

Regards,

Mike

I've contacted him via mail ...so I hope I can get an answer on that.

There is an dealer out there locally who offers various car paints. If I can inform him on anything about type/brand or especially paint-code that was used on your rims he could mix an 'touch-up' for me :getmecoat:

Hy Scott, good to get an reaction from you via TLF.com ... :getmecoat:

and right, I've not used any special address -just the officially anounced contact mail that was available on the Lepsons page. What I've done was fit your name in the 'about' header section ...so I hoped someone would notice the special aimed mail.

Mike, you've *PM* too .. :veryangry:

Hello Mike,

have you now got the money ?!

And do you still have contact with Scott from *Lepsons-Swindon* ? I tried to contact him via his mentioned company-Mail directly to 'lepsons swindon' and in this board (PM) too ... still no feedback on what was used on your wheel-set for the refurbish.

cheers !
