Evora Picture & Video Thread

After many months of wanting to get into an evora, I can happily say that I finally picked this up yesterday from Hofmanns. I swapped my boxster Spyder for this, and I couldn't be more excited! I originally wanted to get a 410, but after having driven a 410, I couldn't live with the tiny carbon seats, and the ride was a touch too firm for me. This is my one and only car, so it needs to be a bit softer for everyday driving. So, green 400 it is, and hofmanns very kindly set up the geo to match the 410. The drive still isn't quite up there with the 410 (I have a sneaking suspicion that it's not only the geo that contributes to the steering of the 410) but it's still amazing. It shall undergo a baptism by fire as I am heading off to Anglesey circuit on Monday (no noise limit event) so I will be able to truly understand what the evora is capable of! Thanks to everyone on here for their advice and help!

The Cup2 tyres are probably the single biggest difference.

Had an amazing day at Anglesey circuit yesterday.  I was the only person there with a lotus, but that was because there was some serious metal, which credit to their owners, took their crazy expensive cars on track and didnt hold back.  The evora, which was 4 days old yesterday, performed amazingly.  I am now totally in love with the thing.  Front end grip is really good, and the rear end  never came unstuck.  What was most impressive was that the evora put up with a full day of tracking (admittedly probably not that fast) and then a full 5 hour drive back to London from Anglesey, and it performed flawlessly in both scenarios.  What a machine, and so so happy to be an owner.  Oh, and although its not in the photo, there was also an Aston Martin Vulcan in attendance, also driven on track with aggression.  That thing is simply staggering. What a day.  My garage partner was also pretty serious about track driving (check out the photo below to see what I mean).

How many miles on it before it hit the track?

4 days old into my ownership! I bought it will about 800 miles on the clock, and crucially the run in service had been done! the clock read 1100 miles by the time I got to anglesey.

Congrats looks like an amazing trackday, not many better tracks when the weather is good. Who was the organiser? What did the 400 make on the noise test (assuming there was one)?

organiser was supercar driver, and it was a no noise limit day,  hence why the vulcan could run. So unfortunately I can't tell you what decibels the evora was making.  Spectators were saying that my car was LOUD.

Great that we can add Anglesey to the list of available tracks. A slog to get there but a great lap. Did you swing by the Evo Triangle in the way home?

I did indeed swing by the eve triangle.  First time doing that, and it was great! Police were out in force though, so one had to be a bit careful.  I also did the A4086 which runs past snowdon.  Great road, but what really stands out is the scenery.  Now I am itching to arrange the next trip!

Which green is that? It looks darker than the Racing Green on my 400, but it may just be the picture.

Either way, it looks superb

Thanks! It's Motorsport Green. It can take on quite a dark hue when the sun isn't out.

Hi Michael,

I should have been there in my Evora S but I had to give up my place due to a family issue. Maybe you picked up my slot at a discount lol. 

Glad to see a Lotus was there to keep the supercars honest!

I so nearly pulled the trigger on a MSG Sports Racer last year but I got pipped to the post, it's the same colour I had on my old Elise and it looks even better on the Evora!!

Yeah! Fame at last - my car appears in a Shmee150 video.

He was up in Scotland with his Vantage GT8 and came along to the monthly Tartan Tarmac Breakfast, which was then followed by some of us by taking part in a promotional event in George Square in the centre of Glasgow for next week's Ignition Festival of Motoring.

There are a few cameo shots of my car in the background at several points throughout, but the 'important' bits are at 6:15 and 10:23 if you don't want to wade through the entire 18 minute's worth.

yes i find his style ok in very small doses, funny i quite like mr jww  or seb delaney if only for the nice videos they shoot, & seb owns a lotus..   and really like
