What's This Noise? [video]

Sounds like a screechy belt, right? ...but it was just replaced not 200 miles ago... is there a tensioner should be replaced too?

Yes . It sounds like one of the belts. spray a bit of WD 40 on them to prove point ,... then adjust the tensioner's to elevate to problem... (alternator and vac. pump. ) Even though they are new , they may have stretched a bit and just need minor adjustment. ..

Maybe I'll guess right this time! Alternator belt, and I reckon the pivot is loose.

Thanks fellas. Just one detail I left out... I can make it squeak when she's idling and I turn the headlights on.

Travis: There's only one accessory belt, right? So do you mean the pump could be bad?

There is three belts.......1 power steering (or vac pump on SE) with water pump.........2 .A/C with tensioner........3. alternator..

That makes perfect sense. Turning on the headlamps puts more load ("drag") on the alternator, causing the alternator belt to "work harder" and lose its grip somewhat on the drive pulley, ergo it squeaks. Snug that puppy up, I say.

Of course, as I'm not a mechanic, I have no "reputational risk" at stake by venturing my two bits worth.
