This will be on the 8th Dec this year.

Any thoughts? In Kent again or shall we go back into central London as we did before? What do you guys want to do?

Also, apologies for posting so soon but we need to book somewhere relatively soon if, as has been the case in the past, we need room for 50+ people.

I thought last years location in Kent was really good. Having worked in London for nigh on 40 years I hate the place.

However musnt be selfish as Kent is easy location for me but not others.

The TLF Xmas Party 2012 is to be held at Franks Restaurant in West Malling on Saturday the 8th December from 7:30pm 'til late.

The menu:

Starters

French Onion Soup with Cheese Crouton

House Pâté with Shallot Marmalade

Avocado and Prawn Cocktail

Lightly fried Breaded Brie served with Chutney

Mains

Traditional Roast Turkey

Sage and onion stuffing, a chipolata sausage, roast and creamed potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Moules Mariniere Celery, onions, garlic, white wine and cream served with fries

Beef Bourguignon derved with mashed potatoes, cabbage and carrots

Fillet of Haddock derved with cheese sauce, peas, bacon and potatoes with Dijon sauce

Vegetarian Options

Mushroom Strogonoff Served with rice

Desserts

Christmas Pudding served with Brandy Sauce

Apple Tart and Ice-cream

Toffee Waffles and Ice cream

Hot Chocolate Fudge Cake and ice-cream

Price is £30 per person which includes service charge (compulsory on weekends) and champagne on arrival. As usual this is payable in advance via paypal (info@thelotusforums.com as a personal payment please to avoid fees), cheque or cash. This is refundable this year if you can't make it up to 7 days in advance. Please note your menu choices when you post so we can give the restaurant a heads up on what we want.

On a side note, TLF will be covering MJK and his wife Avril's dinner and hotel costs as per last year. Any donations towards this are very welcome and can be made via paypal as per the above. I'll note when the costs are covered if this happens to prevent any overage.

As luck would have it, Lotus On Track are running a Saturday track day at Brands Hatch on the 8th too priced at a competitive £155 for an open pitlane day. Details on their website - http://www.lotus-on-track.com

Dave, there's a Premier Inn nearby, search for ME19 on their postcode thing or there are a few nice local places in West Malling itself. :)
