With so many Esprit's attending the factory it's a great opportunity for Lotus to make records of cars in a digital format, something which they are currently lacking. As Lotus are being so kind and holding this event for us (at a substantial loss I would like to add!) I have agreed that we'll do all we can to help them out.

Can everyone attending (who wishes to help, which I would like to think is everyone) please list your car below with details of any and all modifications, no matter how small. Lotus can then see which cars they would like to record details off and can take pics on the day. These pics may be used for anything in the future at Lotus's sole discretion and if you're not happy with this, please don't post your cars details.

I would imagine that the outcome of this record taking will be for our benefit, so please help out :P

not a small conversion infact a hell of a lot of work. FORD DURATEC V6 with ford engine manegment and no cats, standard esprit back box. i have also moved the gearbox forword one and a half inches so the drivesharfts are inline. this engine can be thrashed all day and if it brakes one can be bought for the price of a lotus linner

Nigel

Looks like an interesting conversion, I'm sure it's not just me that is interested in knowing more, could you do a fresh post to give us all some more info on what you did, cost etc. Any more pics?

Wow there are quite a few people insterested in your conversion. Performance - handling and technical issues and how you overcame them!!!

Please this conversion deserves more written details which would probably permantly be kept on file on site.

Please can we have more details and photos please!

1995 s4 - totally original (as far as I know) except the Lotus valve caps!!! Also has only just (on Sunday) clocked round to 20,000miles so is pretty smart all round (except for the obligatory stone chips).

1986 Turbo- well the body is.

It has 1992 sub frame & running gear so...

Later gearbox

later brakes

later suspension setup with dual adjustable dampers

Wheels & tyres etc from later car (S4)

Engine modded to 1992 spec, Liners ect, just using origianl block, head, turbo etc.

Electrical charge cooler pump.

Gren cotton filter

Bailey dump valve

Larini SS exhaust

Stainless braided brake pipes

Dash binacle from 1992.

Interior modded to remove roof mounted clock.

seats changed

Interior changed to black

Allegedly this car was modded up to 300 BHP, but as I've not had it on the road propperly yet, I don't know.

with only 3 weeks to go and a lot to do I'm concerned it may not get done in time.

1999 SPORT 350

Hard Life..First two years as Lotus development car allegedly, then thrashed, crashed and left in a farmyard full of pooh by its idiot last owner.( Not you obviously Ross!).

Resued by me by accident and repaired lovingly ( It actually wasnt THAT bad ,most damage apart from the accident being caused by it being left in that Farmyard.)

The cars not perfect and is awaiting some of the paint being redone as it was rushed but its straight and it is back on the road.

Basically Standard but for a 1 off exhaust system from the turbos back which sounds nice, adlustable coilovers with std 350 rated springs.Oh and a towbar for a trailor to carry all the invoices for parts used in the rebuild .

Having read this thread a few times am I right thinking the modified cars are of more interest to the organisers, however a few originals thrown in can't do any harm.
