That was fun to watch.

I was wondering if he was deliberately staying behind at the start as he was very late on the throttle out of most corners.

He was definitely trying harder after he'd cleared the McLaren out of the way!

The way the P1 disappeared down Hanger Straight was awesome. Equally how quick the BAC caught up in the twisties. Nice vid.

If you like Group B cars (don't we all???) you can watch a great documentary on BBC iPlayer called "Rallying: The killer years". Well worth watching although the whole era ended in a tragical way.

I think I have six different Evora models and two Esprit's still in box, plus two 250 models, one in green, other in blue, then a whole load out of boxes.

EVO video review of the BMW i8 with a nice intro to electric vehicles. I do like Henry Catchpole's pieces to camera. A genuine enthusiast but understated. As I've said before, I am sure this is the new Esprit, built by BMW....

 

But the best bit - it's filmed in my back yard. Enjoy.

Very positive review of the i8 in this week's Autocar. They reference the Evora (only other mid-engined 2+2 on the market) a few times. "Even without the BMW's power train, if only the Lotus looked and felt as special as this". Mmmmm.........
