...mmm... looks like a great opportunity for someone who knows what they're doing, sadly that's not me!

surely the wheels alone could be worth £2000, maybe more once reconditioned?

I think I prefer all-cloth to half-cloth, looks very cosy!

Loved the cloth interior in that Elf yellow Turbo. Wouldn't put me off at all.

Seriously though how much are those wheels worth on their own?!

Good. If anyone on here bought it, how much do you want for the wheels?!

Bloody hell, sold for £7,800 with the engine in a crate so guessing another 3/4k to get it back on the road. 2k for the wheels you recon, I would be better off breaking my S3 at those prices. Same wheels 2k, recon engine 2.5 k, recon gearbox 2.5k, recon brakes, new clutch assembly 1k, steering uj,s etc, etc, etc. So going by that if I sell the parts I would get the same as I am sking for a newly restored, newly MOT's and newly taxed S3 and I would still have a bloody good shell and interior left, after asking sensible prices for the parts. You get the whole car for only for 1.5k more than that car made at auction.

Dry sump pump is worth quite a bit too, probably £500-600 as it is.

Canny buyer, no doubt Mike from Lotus bits would know what it's worth in parts. But if it is broken down that's one less dry sump from the original 143.

I looked at buying this but thought I better concentrate on my S2 first.

Remember the hammer price also means the buyer has to pay another 12% on top of the price in fees. The car has to be removed the next day or storage costs are unbelievable I think they charge an initial cost of £195 + vat and then a daily charge after that.

Could get quite expensive.

Cheers Mike
