S4s fuel tanks

Can anyone help me out by posting pics of the S4s fuel tanks, please? I have ordered some alloy ones but the guy wants photos to make sure.

That's kind. But which are the ones that fit the S4s?

Posts 5 and 21 show the aluminum tanks made for the GM MPFI 4 cylinder cars (89 - 96). That range of cars is the same.

 

The old tanks are shown as well.

 

 

 

Your fabricator should be able to see what openings he has to make. Then he just has to measure your old ones.  You determine if you want them slightly smaller for ease of installation.

So, it has a square sump on the driver's side?

 

The reason I'm asking is that I don't have the tanks out yet, and may not be able to do so before the new ones are made.

No, yours will be a tubular sump. They used flat plate to make a box section instead of tube on the alloy tanks they made to save on material costs.

Pull the tanks first.

Your fabricator needs a precise measurements.

No one can duplicate parts just by looking at the photos !

Thanks. He has the dimensions, but he wants to confirm the type beforehand. It looks like the round sump ones are favourite.

Very interesting. Having pulled the fuel pump from the right hand tank to drain it, I can see it has the trapezoidal sump like the last photo about half way down the page. A V8 tank! Well, I never!
