You're after an NA Evora OBD2 reader, but you list your car as a Europa S2?

Am I missing something?

Generally any of the OBD-readers you'll find on Amazon or ebay will serve your purpose. Only thing to consider is the smartphone OS you have. iPhone gengerally doesn't support bluetooth, so you'll need a fiwi-dongle. Android loves bluetooth and with TorquePro you have a great app. VGATE makes both variants: http://www.vgate.com.cn/

Things get a bit more compex if you want to use the dongle for continuous, preferably automatic recording. some dongles are too slow and can disturb the CAN-bus, others have an on/off button that you have to press every time you start.

At the premium end I can heartly recomment OBDlink: http://www.obdlink.com/

thanks guys. I though the Evora was OBD3 and hence the OBD2 readers you find on the internet would not work. I'll get a cheap one and give it a go.

cheers

Hi I've got an ODB dongle with wifi and dashCommand for the iphone but this won't read my ABS fault code or reset the airbag light I've had on since the battery was replaced. What am i doing wrong? Do I need another app? I sent my car down to a garage recently with a snapon odb reader and even he couldn't help. No local dealer anymore - which isn't very helpful so I'm a bit stuck.

On the Elise platform the ABS was controlled by a seperate ABS ECU, that had to be talked to with the Lotus Tech2 tool.

I would assume it's the same on the Evora.

So your regular OBD2 connection isn't going to cut it.

I use OBDfacile on my iphone with a wireless OBD plug. Works fine but its basic, cannot email graphs.
