Very Rare Barn Find, Lotus Eclat Riviera 1982

Hi Guys.

 

its been now 2 years ago i had a very rare Lotus Eclat Riviera,

i just want to share it with you all, it was a great driveable car after it was inside a barn

for over a years and years, i dont even had to clean the carbs!!!! unbeliveable

it has : 73.000 km. on the clock

 

here some shots when i bought it:

 

on the pictures i could see it was a Riviera, because of the bonnet, and the tail,

it was really a barn find, and i also saw its a automatic, and LHD i thought at that point, it should be a very rare car!

and yess it was a very rare Riviera:

 

 

its now sold to germany, to a car collector, so its standing still, what it always did before, it should be a shame,

(note: i did not respray the car its all orginal red.)

Thats a great find Bauke - a great save!

There does seem to be a real pocket of interest in Germany for Riviera's. It seems a lot of Riviera's are going there. It is strange because I always thought Germans hated sunroofs!

Wow, just shows some real gems can lay hidden under dust and muck.

Great work bring it back to life Bauke but a shame the new keeper is not enjoying the drive.

Never driven an Automatic eclat/elite, are they quite smooth to change like more modern autos?

Really smart looking Lotus complimented with the black interior ????

Still for sale it seems, in Belgium. Same location, compare with the first picture in this thread.

However....... the ad is for a 1978 Spit, which IS pictured in a second pic in the ad. The Mk3 Spitfire does not have much in common with the car in the ad.

Maybe the seller mixed up, two white Spitfires, and had this Mk3 Spit for sale before?
