Nice pictures George. I suspect you are going to happy having the glass rear screen when it comes to doing rig shots. My slatted engine cover won't be much use for rigging to. I think I'm going to be limited to windscreen and side windows until I trust the cure of the paint to the suction cups.

I'm guessing yours is the 1.5m spar rig, in which case I'd imagine it'll be tight but might fit in the passenger seat.

My DIY rig has a base tube that's 2.3m long, so not happening.

Took both cars out for a drive yesterday, Exige is a lot lot faster than the Caterham (150hp) but Caterham so much more raw and enjoyable.  Having said that it's strange not being able to shake a car down a country road when in the Caterham!

If you take the roof off the Exige, it'll feel somewhat more raw like the Caterham :D

Getting the back panel wrapped in satin black on Thursday. Did a quick render to check I liked the look and I much much prefer it.

So I now have the back wrapped thanks to Dub Customs. Decided against normal satin black vinyl when I saw this option which is a discontinued vinyl. It's a very dark grey satin with a huge amount of metallic flake which looks great when the sun hits it. Very happy with how it came out as you'll see from the photos it looks much better now.

I also did a couple of laps of Brands Hatch Indy in the Exige on Saturday. The car was mega quick but I struggled to get comfortable in it, the front just wouldn't bite, maybe because of my driving technique, but I think almost certainly because the setup isn't quite right for track (I think it needs some rake, front camber and better tyres). As the car is for the road for me I'm happy to leave the setup as it is as it drives great on the road   I think I'm going to keep the Caterham and turn it into more of a track toy!

The car tends to understeer if your tyre temps aren't correct. You need them at 30psi when hot. There's a topic about it here mate...

There's literally no padding left in them so my back is touching the fibreglass.  I'm hoping the new foam arrives today and then I'll rip them apart and re do the padding to hopefully make it so I can live with the car!  If that doesn't sort it I'll look at different seat options...
