I am one of the friends that @Al mentioned above. I too have the problem on both doors and I'm far from happy, my car was registered on 1/09/23. I have managed to get some photos and have this evening sent those in a long email to the dealer with the problems I have had with the car, Power Steering pump and Air-conditioning replaced before I took delivery of the car and subsequent problem with the Air-conditioning on Day 1 of a 21 day driving holiday in Italy. Driving the Amalfi Coast was no fun especially in 38c heat. The car has been back twice to get the Air-conditioning fixed, now this paint problem. What else will go wrong with this car?

Not sure if it is anything to do with the Aircon but will ask the question at the dealership.

Has anyone come across these error messages before? My car is V6 Auto. Phoned the dealer to see if they had seen this..... answered NO. This went on for about 15minutes. Did the usual, got out of the car locked and unlocked it a few times and tried to start the car again but got the same messages. When the engine was switched off there was a regular beeping noise and after a further 3 or 4 minutes the display turned to the normal view and I was able to start the car and drive off. The car is due to go into the dealer next week as the Aircon packed in on day one of a three week driving trip to Italy from Scotland. This will be the 2nd aircon unit since collecting the car in December. Not a happy bunny!! IMG_7501.mov

Hi Mark Yes that was me and it is a very dirty Dark Verdant, heading home from Nottingham. Jackie mentioned about 20 minutes after we left that she thought she saw you. I think that is the first time I have ever been “spotted” in any of my Lotus cars. 🤣

I can also vouch for the quality of Dan’s work and have just ordered an A2 Emira plaque to go with my other plaques.

Well, I cancelled my order with Lotus for my i4 on Thursday. My initial deposit was paid on 9th July 2021, 2nd configuration deposit paid 29th April 2022 and was 'locked"in for August production, then September and then October. At the beginning of October I emailed Customer Care to ask what build week my car was scheduled for only to receive a reply saying there was a further delay and they would get back to me in a few weeks.😡 I have since paid a deposit with Lotus Glasgow for a V6 Auto in Verdant Green and will pick it up on return from holiday next months. I have been totally frustrated with the whole buying process which is completely faceless and nothing like sitting down with a salesman in the showroom with a cup of coffee.

Thanks Al. It would be great to reintroduce a regular once a month breakfast meeting. Unfortunately I am not available on 1st Sunday in November and possibly not on the 1st Sunday in December either, which is a pity as I would love to show off my new wheels 🤔😁. I will be in Switzerland as usual on various dates between January and April this year so might not be available then either. That's one of the reasons I gave up organising the meets as since retiring we do a lot of trips away plus we are up and down the A1 to visit Jackie's Mum in a care home on a monthly basis. I didn't think it was right for me to do the organising and not turn up for the meets. I hope the meets in the future will be as popular as they were in the past and hoist us back to the top of the TLF activity tree!
