Put 12v both sides. Capacitor side dead, the other side activated the magnet. I would like to say simples, but it was down to my Brother in Law.

Took the plunge and striped the pump with my Brother in Law. So glad I did. The fault was the capacitor in one end of the pump. £4.00 from SU, and all sorted. Thanks to all on here for help and encouragement. If of interest, there is a Classic car show in Chislehurst 12th May, in the High Street. Promises to be a good event. The Elite will be there, so hopefully will some of you near the Pub.

Afternoon Guys, I wonder if you can help. My petrol pump has ceased to function. I have tried hitting it with something heavy to no avail. There is power to the unit, so I guess the pump has stuck, through gummy petrol or something more serious. Any ideas please, or is it a new pump. The unit is an upgrade from Lotus bits, about 6 years old and very little use. Thank you. Rick

Well it has a good home now. The offer stands. Another strange coincidence is I have a 1941 Willy's too.

The car did have a re spray about 6 years ago, plus re trimmed. I bet it was a wrench when it went. I still have all your paperwork. I have seen the other Altair Elite, I believe it is up for sale. If you are ever this way, please pop over and taker her for a spin.
